The Apple Event is expected to take place today at 20:00 TRT with a livestream at the Steve Jobs Theater. The event will be Apple's first since it unveiled the Vision Pro at WWDC earlier this summer.

iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus

The new iPhone series will probably have four models as well: iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will essentially be a repackaged iPhone 14 Pro without the telephoto camera or stainless steel body.

The new phones will inherit a 48-megapixel main camera and the A16 chip from the 14 Pro. Display analyst Ross Young said in a September 2022 Twitter post that he did not expect the base iPhone 15 models to have a high refresh rate like Apple's Pro iPhones. According to another source, all four iPhone 15 models will support 15-watt wireless charging using the Qi2 open standard announced earlier this year.

However, the biggest expected change for all four iPhones will be the move away from the Lightning connector. Probably under pressure from the European Union, which passed the law adopting USB-C as the common charging standard, the iPhone 15 series will have a USB-C port instead of the Lightning port.

iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max

It is also known that the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max may see the biggest changes. According to rumors, the Pro model's frame will be made of titanium.

There will be a USB-C port that can support higher data rates for things like transferring ProRes video files. In addition, it is rumored that the iPhone 15 Pro Max may get a new 6x optical telephoto camera.

Doubling native optical zoom from 3x to 6x will let us take zoomed photos with better detail, resolution and dynamic range compared to the 6x digital zoom on the current iPhone 14 Pro.

Unlike the iPhone 15, the buttons will not be mechanical and will be more like the touch-sensitive area that first appeared on the iPhone 7.

Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2

The Apple Watch will probably be a relatively modest year-over-year version of the Apple Watch Series 8. The Series 9 may come in a new color.

The Series 9 will be powered by a new S9 chip. Gurman of Bloomberg said in the Power On Discord channel in May that it brings improvements in performance and efficiency. That tells us battery life could be better.

There are also some rumors that a second-generation version of the Apple Watch Ultra may be seen as well. The new version is rumored to bring a faster chip and to come with a black titanium finish.
