Iron Man VR developer Camouflaj and Oculus Studios announced that they are developing Batman: Arkham Shadow, expected to release later this year (late 2024). Meta hasn't shared many details about the game itself so far. But we do have a short trailer showing Batman's perspective as he moves through Gotham's rainy streets. So it looks like we'll be able to see a few Gotham scenes in the game. Meta also hasn't yet announced who will voice Batman. Kevin Conroy passed away in 2022, so who will take on the role is still unknown.
Let's restate that this game's biggest feature will be that it's a VR game exclusive to Meta Quest 3. Back in 2016, Rocksteady Studios released Batman: Arkham VR on PSVR before bringing the game to additional VR headsets. We'll all see together how reactions to this game turn out. It's considered the first game in the series chronologically and follows a younger Batman. The story takes place on a Christmas Eve when Batman has his first big night out and battles a string of criminals.
- Batman: Arkham Knight (2015): The series' final game deals with a scenario where Batman confronts the Scarecrow's emergence as a threat to Gotham. In this game, players can drive the Batmobile and explore Gotham.
