Battlefield 2042's Season 7, Turning Point, Starts March 19!

A great power struggle is inviting players to the Atacama Desert in Chile. All BF 2042 fans will be able to experience this massive conflict for free from March 21 to March 24!

The Battlefield team announced that Battlefield 2042's Season 7: Turning Point will release on March 19. Arriving with two new maps, a new vehicle, new weapons, and a new gadget alongside gameplay improvements, the new season promises the best content Battlefield 2042 has seen since launch. The core content being added will be available to all players as part of the 30 Free tiers* in the Season 7 Battle Pass, while additional cosmetic items can be earned through the Premium version of the Battle Pass**.

The battle on Season 7's brand-new map, Haven, invites players to the Atacama Desert in Chile. In this lawless control war, Russian forces have allied with a new enemy known as the Thousand Leaves Coalition to help seize a vital water reserve on the new map. Haven's urban warfare setting features a mix of infantry and vehicle combat, drawing inspiration from fan-favorite maps from Battlefield's past like Arica Harbor (Bad Company 2), Strike At Karkand (Battlefield 2), and Amiens (Battlefield 1).

Season 7: Turning Point includes a host of new items to help with the great power struggle. The AK 5C assault rifle offers a perfect balance of firepower and accuracy, making it an excellent weapon for close-range fights. The SCZ-3 light machine gun becomes a punishing and destructive option for close-range engagements, especially when fitted with a drum magazine to extend the time between reloads. With the sling-fed DFR Strife*** light machine gun, which offers the magazine size and suppressive quality of an LMG with an assault rifle's mobility, you can get the best of both classes. A classic piece of Battlefield history, the Predator SRAW, a wire-guided missile designed to disable and destroy both ground and air vehicles, is also making a comeback to the gadget lineup. Finally, the brand-new XFAD-4 Draugr***, a state-of-the-art remote-controlled aerial bomber equipped with EMP bombs and radar-guided missiles, is set to find its place in the game as an exciting addition.

On top of all this new content, the Season 7 Battle Pass also offers powerful weapons and a handy gadget to help give players an edge in battle, along with top-tier cosmetics to intimidate the enemy. Year 1 Pass holders who didn't play the previous two seasons will be able to instantly unlock all the gear from Season 5 and Season 6 when they log in during Season 7, including the VHX D3 (Assault Rifle), G428 (DMR), BFP.50 (Pistol), YUV-2 Pondhawk (Vehicle), health and ammo pouches, grenade variants, and more.

Later in Season 7, the Stadium map will arrive, an infantry-only experience with intense close-range combat playable in Breakthrough, Conquest, Rush, Team Deathmatch, and Free For All. One of the most requested additions by players, Stadium was originally part of the Hourglass map before its rework and has now been turned into a standalone map with an updated look.

During this period, players who play Battlefield 2042 without owning it will keep access to all content they earn.
