After weeks of teasers and various leaks, Activision finally confirmed in an announcement on October 13 that CoD Zombies is coming. A full trailer arrived just 24 hours later.

Watching the trailer, we go back in time to World War II, where zombies began for the first time in the CoD series. Although a new round-based map has not yet become clear, we see players fighting in a new "Der Anfang" mode to start with. This mode also comes with new objectives, perks, weapons and upgrades.

CoD Vanguard's Zombies is going in a new direction instead of a typical round-based map or even a familiar Outbreak-like experience. Der Anfang appears as its new mode, which aims to combine the best elements of what came before it.
In this mode, where players pass through Dark Aether portals to visit various locations and clear new objectives, squads will encounter new enemy types and use new upgrades along the way.
