Cities Skylines 2 First Impressions

First, I want to point out that some changes were made in this game. In particular, features like agriculture, industry, mining, oil, and forestry are now placed in specific zones. Now, let's start our game and create a new map. In this video I'm planning to build agriculture and industry, so we need to pick the most suitable terrain. Let's start by looking at the map options. Let's go to the map options and pick a suitable plot here. As you can see, some areas look more fertile. Let's take a look at that 20.9 km² area. This looks good to me. Now, let's start a new game.

At this point, there's something I need to pay attention to when choosing map options. In this game, water and power lines are no longer drawn manually. That means we don't need water towers or power lines to route water and electricity. Instead, we can use high-voltage power lines. Now we're going to run these high-voltage lines and meet the city's electricity needs.

Once the power lines are run, we need to build a transformer station to convert it into the low-voltage electricity we can use within the grid. Now let's add that transformer station.

Now let's look at how we'll route water. We can use roads to run water networks. Roads have automatic water networks built into them. All we need to do to run these networks is select the road. This way, we automatically provide water distribution throughout the city.

How Do You Build the Agricultural Industry in Cities Skylines 2?

Now, we'll use the specialized industry zone to build our agriculture and industry areas. We can farm in these zones. First we need to open up regular industry zones. These zones contain housing, workplaces, industry, and offices. However, with this game, features like farming and animal husbandry have also been added.

When we want to do farming and animal husbandry, we need to use the specialized industry zone. In these zones we can carry out activities like cotton, carrots, wheat, and animal husbandry. Now, since we're going to set up areas suited to these zones, I'll create a few of them.

To adjust these areas, when we click on each one, we can enlarge the areas using the expand option. This way, we can make use of more fertile land. This makes our farming and animal husbandry activities more efficient.

After creating the agricultural and industrial zones, it's important to provide power and water. We use high-voltage lines to run electricity and distribute water automatically through the roads.

As a result, setting up agriculture and industry zones in City Skylines 2 can be done quite simply and effectively. Now, you can start developing these zones and contribute to your city's growth.
