How Do You Fish in Far Cry 6?

To fish in Far Cry 6, players first need a fishing rod, which you get by completing the "Fuel the Revolution" mission on Isla Santuario.

Like any tool, players can upgrade their fishing rods at the Challenge Boxes found near every major fishing spot. These boxes let Dani change the bait and upgrade the rod for greater success.

• Find a fishing spot and make sure you have the fishing rod at hand.
• Press and/or hold the right trigger (RT) or left mouse button to set the distance the line will be cast.
• Release the button at the distance you want to catch at.
• Wait for a bite.
• When a fish bites, press and/or hold RT/left mouse button to "hook" the fish onto the line.
• Reel in with the left trigger (LT) or right mouse button.
• The fish will try to fight you; after all, it is fighting for its life. To fight the fish, use your mouse or the right joystick on your controller to turn your rod opposite to the direction of the pull.
