FM23 Best Assistant Managers: Current Meta

In FM 23, here are more than 200 of the best assistant managers in FM23 that you should consider adding to your team.

Assistant managers in FM23 will give you summarized reports on the qualities of your own players as well as your opponents. The assistant manager can also attend pre-season press conferences, tunnel interviews, and arrange friendly matches.

For FM 24's 5-Star Coaches;

• FM 24 List of 5-Star Coaches

Your assistant manager can also manage the team during friendly matches, give team talks, and brief your players on the opposing players before a match.

The assistant manager can also be put in charge of the training sessions for various squads (first team, U19, reserves/B team).

If you want to get the best assistant manager in FM23, you should look at the attributes below.

What Should the Best FM 23 Assistant Manager Attributes Be?

• Determination
• Level of Discipline
• Motivating
• Man Management
• Judging Player Potential
• Judging Player Ability

By default, Football Manager highlights these three attributes: Man Management, Judging Player Potential, and Judging Player Ability.

Honestly, these three attributes suit the Director of Football role better than the Assistant Manager role in FM23, so make sure to also add Determination, Level of Discipline, and Motivating to your list.

If you're planning to have your assistant deliver training, you should also look at their coaching attributes. However, we'll set those aside for our list and focus primarily on the attributes mentioned above.

Also, if you want your assistant manager to help you with tactics or set opposition instructions, add Tactical Knowledge and Judging Player Ability to your search as well.

Finally, if they're not from the country you're currently managing in, I'd suggest considering Adaptability as well!

There are plenty of great assistant managers in Football Manager 2023, but many of them won't be willing to sign for your club at the start of the game.

This reluctance can stem from the fact that they've just moved to a new club or country and don't want to immediately move to another position, or simply that they're not interested in your lower-profile club.

What Criteria Should Be Used When Looking for the Best Assistant Manager in FM23?

• Potential ability should be 150 or higher
• Current ability should be 100 or higher
• Preferred job should be assistant manager.
