GTA 6 May Be Playable on the New PS5 Pro Console!

The GTA 6 trailer released a short while ago broke a number of records; the video racked up 93 million views on YouTube alone within 24 hours, setting a massive record on the platform despite having leaked ahead of its planned release. With the game now sitting at more than 176 million views, we expect it to launch in 2025. In the meantime, we occasionally come across leaked news about the game. One of those reports is about GTA 6 possibly being playable on the new PS5 console. Rockstar Games hasn't made any such announcement yet, but since the PS5 Pro is also expected to launch, we may get to play the game on a brand-new console.

GTA 6 May Be Playable on the New PS5 Pro Console!

Analysts have mentioned that the new PS5 Pro console is likely to launch toward the end of 2024, ahead of GTA 6's release next year.

Given that GTA 6 is also set to release in 2025, there's talk that it could boost interest in the PlayStation product as the most current console the game can be played on, and could even break sales records. Of course, whether GTA 6 will support this console isn't clear yet. We also don't know how feasible it would be to buy one under conditions in Türkiye. But we can guarantee that the performance gains from a brand-new console will be significant.

Sony released a slightly upgraded version of the PS5 last year, but the PS5 Pro is expected to be a much bigger upgrade, becoming the most powerful PlayStation console capable of running major games like GTA 6.

We believe GTA 6 will support the PS5, but not the PS4. We also expect it to be playable on PC.

About the PS5 Pro

When the PS5 first launched at the end of 2020, the chip shortage at the time caused supply issues for the highly anticipated console and disappointed many fans. For many people, owning a PS5 seemed like nothing more than a dream, but the PS5 shortage finally ended in 2023, three years after its initial launch. Since then, many players have been able to enjoy the console (as much as conditions in Türkiye allow :)) and rumors about the PS5 Pro have spread quickly. The PS5 Pro is expected to arrive toward the end of 2024, ahead of GTA 6's release.
