Rockstar Calls Staff Back to Office for GTA 6

Rockstar Games' Latest GTA 6 Statement: They Want Employees in the Office!

Rockstar Publishing President Jenn Kolbe said in an email sent to staff on Wednesday that the decision was made for productivity and security reasons. The company has faced numerous security breaches, including a massive leak of GTA 6's first footage and the leaked first trailer in December.

On the matter, Kolbe said: "Making these changes now puts us in the best position not only to deliver the next Grand Theft Auto at the level of quality it demands, but to deliver a release roadmap befitting the scale and ambition of the game."

After the pandemic, many employers asked their staff to return to the office two or three days a week. Many companies now believe working from home reduces productivity. This may be one reason Rockstar Games is calling its employees back in.

While most of 2023's biggest video games, like Insomniac Games' Marvel's Spider-Man 2, were developed remotely, this has created an issue for Rockstar Games. But that's not the only reason they're calling employees back in; the biggest reason, as Rockstar Publishing President Jenn Kolbe also stated, is to take security measures to the highest level during GTA 6's final stages.
