Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy sparked excited anticipation among players with the trailers released recently. The game, whose system requirements and size had piqued curiosity, disappointed many players with the specs it demands. According to the notes released, the Guardians of the Galaxy really are setting off on a journey of galactic proportions.

The upcoming space adventure follows Star-Lord and his band of alien misfits as they try to make a name (and money) for themselves by forming alliances/burning bridges with characters like Cosmo the Spacedog and Lady Hellbender. Adam Warlock, whose role as friend or foe is not yet clear, joins the story at one point.

Creative director Jean-François Dugas told us around the time Marvel's GOTG cover art was revealed: "The Guardians are legitimate heroes for hire, but as the game progresses and you discover the game's main threat, they become more about actually saving the galaxy from its own demise."
