The Harry Potter series has always been a big deal. I can't speak for you, but I can say it's a film I first watched in theaters as a kid and was completely blown away by. With its distinctive characters and the Hogwarts setting and atmosphere that we could watch for hours without ever getting bored, it's practically the film of the decade. As you know, the film series most recently got a game adaptation called Hogwarts Legacy. The game found fame in no time and managed to turn the gaming market on its head.

But the game wasn't without a few gaps either, and building on those gaps, Harry Potter's new game, Harry Potter Quidditch Champions, has just been announced. Harry Potter Quidditch Champions Release Date

The game will enter its first testing phase on April 21. Players selected for the test will get the chance to try out the game for two days. You can sign up on the official Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions website for a chance to play. A release date for the game isn't known yet.

Harry Potter Quidditch Champions Story

Harry Potter Quidditch Champions is known as a fast-paced, competitive multiplayer game coming to consoles and PC, built around the favorite pastime of Hogwarts witches and wizards. According to the initial announcements, the game will offer players a complete standalone Quidditch experience that brings them into the sport of Quidditch and other broomstick adventures together with friends in a competitive multiplayer setting. Just like in Hogwarts Legacy, Quidditch Champions characters will be created by the players themselves. Rumor has it the game has been in development "for a few years" at Los Angeles-based Unbroken Studios.

Since Harry Potter Quidditch Champions has only just been announced, we don't yet know how much it will cost, or whether it will be free for all players. Whether it will follow the same path as Hogwarts Legacy or fully replace it is also an open question.
