The High 5 Festival is starting in Honor of Kings

Mobile MOBA giant Honor of Kings has announced its newly launched High 5 Festival. Running until May 24, the in-game festival will let players from various regions join events, try out new heroes, and win a range of rewards. On top of that, new details were shared about Honor of Kings Open Series Episode 1, which aims to give amateur players the chance to show off their skills on the global stage.

In the world's most-played mobile MOBA, Honor of Kings, the newly launched High 5 Festival will run until May 24, bringing together players from Türkiye, MENA and CIS as well as Southeast Asia and Brazil for a chance to join events and win rewards.

Three new heroes, Yuhuan, Erin and Nezha, are joining the celebrations

Yuhuan, the Musical Mage arriving in Honor of Kings on May 3, can protect teammates or strike enemies depending on the melody she plays. Yuhuan's ultimate makes her untargetable, letting her easily avoid taking damage.

Erin, the Elf Princess going on sale starting May 14, is an agile marksman who uses mage abilities to unleash her unique attacks. Bonded with the forest, Erin's ultimate rains laurel leaves down on her enemies.

Nezha, the rebel reborn in fire, joins the roster on May 29. A fighter, Nezha can ride his flaming wheels through the lanes to quickly support wherever it's needed and deal damage with his unique spear.

Form a team to win big rewards

The High 5 Festival highlights the importance of teamwork, motivating players to form teams. Players who build new teams and friend circles will have the chance to join events and win great rewards, including:

• Perk Card Event: Log in regularly to get Mulan's Doorman Skin, a Level 5 Arcana Experience Card, and 100 Arcana. But there's more...

  • All heroes are free to play, and for a limited time five selected skins, including one S-tier skin, will be offered for free

  • Multiple team-building perks such as team ranking privilege chests, a Hero experience card, and exclusive kill effects

  • Between May 4 and 5, players ranked above Gold 4 will have their Valor Points, Star Shards and experience doubled for up to five games a day

• Egg Heist: Complete daily quests to earn food for the Overlord, which raises the Overlord's egg production rate, making more eggs available to steal for rewards.

• Bingo: Complete a row or column to claim its reward, and complete the whole card to win the grand prize.

• Puzzles: Collect puzzle pieces to unlock rewards, and complete the puzzle to win a permanent skin.

The skins added to the game are as follows:

• The Mask Spirits collection: Liu Bei, Guan Yu and Zhang Fei,

• Daji's first ultimate skin: Beautiful Nine-Tailed Fox,

• The Journey to the West series: new looks for Wukong, Arli and Lady Zhen

2024 Honor of Kings Open Series Episode 1 update Honor of Kings Open Series Episode 1, which aims to give amateur players the chance to show off their skills on the global stage, will be played between May 1 and 5 with players from Türkiye, the Commonwealth of Independent States, and the Middle East and North Africa region.

Once the first qualifiers wrap up, 64 teams will remain from the four participating regions, and the second round of qualifiers will run from May 10 to 19. The top teams from each of the four regions will then advance to the 2024 Honor of Kings Open Series EMEA Finals Episode 1, competing for a chance to reach the S2 Invitational this summer.
