Changing your Epic Games display name does not affect your PSN or Xbox Live gamertags/display names. To change your PSN or Xbox gamertag, please get help by contacting Sony or Microsoft.

If you have only played on console (PSN, Xbox or Switch) and want to create a display name for your Epic Games account, you need to upgrade your account to a full Epic Games account. You can find instructions on how to do this here.

How Do You Change Your Epic Games Display Name?

To change your display name, your email address must be verified. If you haven't yet, to learn how to verify your account, go here.

  1. Visit your account's ACCOUNT INFO page.
  2. Enter the new display name you want in the box labeled DISPLAY NAME.
  3. Scroll down the page and click SAVE CHANGES.Epic Games account page with the display name field

Note: You can change your display name once every two weeks.
