LoL 12.21 Patch Notes: Blitzcrank and Miss Fortune Nerfs

LoL patch 12.21 has brought a lot of new changes. This update is known as the last major update before Season 13's preseason changes go live. Alongside some balance tweaks to champions who weren't affected much during the preseason period, there will be small quality-of-life changes as well. Tank top laner K'Sante will also make his debut on Summoner's Rift for the first time.

K'Sante Arrives As a New High-Skill Tank Top Laner

K'Sante arrives as Season 12's final League of Legends champion. In his base form, K'Sante protects his team from enemy attacks and plays a patient, defensive game. But when the time comes, he goes All Out and breaks away from his team, forces the enemy into a duel, and takes matters into his own hands. Managing that switch between tank and duelist is where K'Sante's skill expression lies. K'Sante will launch alongside a Prestige skin.

Blitzcrank and Miss Fortune Get Nerfed for the Preseason

The champions getting nerfed for the preseason include Blitzcrank and Miss Fortune. On the buff side, there are five candidates: Ahri, Corki, and Xin Zhao are getting some general upgrades, while Malzahar's damage-over-time ability Malefic Visions is getting a "last-hit assist."

The Empyrean Skins Complete the Worlds 2022 Collection

In LoL patch 12.21, K'Sante isn't the only one getting an Empyrean skin — seven more champions are being added to the new collection. The neon-infused cosmetics will also give Jax, Jhin, Lux, Pyke, Vex, Zac, and Zed a glow-up. All of these skins will be priced at 1350 RP, except for Pyke's pricier 1820 RP Legendary, and will come in multiple color variants.
