How to Unlock the M13B in Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2.0

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0's Season 1 is live, and the launch season brings new weapons, operators, and more. Two of the season's weapons are available in the free tiers of the battle pass, but the third is unlocked through an in-game challenge. Here, we'll guide you through unlocking the M13B assault rifle.

How Do You Unlock the M13B Assault Rifle in CoD: Modern Warfare 2?

The M13B is part of Modern Warfare 2's Bruen Ops weapon platform and is described as an assault rifle with a high fire rate and low recoil.

It's unlocked by completing an in-game challenge in Warzone's DMZ mode, but Activision's blog post said it could also be purchased with a store bundle. Initially, that bundle wasn't available in the store.

How Do You Unlock the M13B Assault Rifle in CoD: Warzone 2.0?

Challenge: Unlock it by defeating the Chemist in DMZ's Radiation Zone and looting their dropped weapon.

The Chemist is found in the radiation zone during the match. These are random locations, but they're marked on the map with a highlighted yellow circle. Also, since only one person can obtain the weapon per match, you'll want to head to the zone right away.

Being inside the zone causes you to take a small amount of damage, which can kill you over time, but a gas mask will stop that damage completely. Fortunately, the AI opponents in the zone have gas masks, so take one out and loot their mask.

Then, run to the center of the zone to find the Chemist, who's wearing a bright yellow hazmat suit. You'll need to kill them and pick up the M13B assault rifle. Just watch out for the extra enemies surrounding the Chemist, and make sure you make a quick exit, since armored AI seems to flood the zone pretty fast during and after the fight. Everyone here is an armored bullet sponge. After that, all you need to do is head to the exfil and extract from the match.

Note: Since teammates who help out won't get the unlock, only the player holding the weapon during extraction will unlock it. So you won't be able to keep this specific one, but you'll get the base version of the weapon.
