Use the Zoom Toolbar

The Zoom toolbar makes it much easier to mute yourself. This works the same way on both the PC and the mobile app.

• After joining the Zoom call, click the mute button in the bottom left corner. The mute button should change to a microphone icon with a line through it and read "Unmute". The Unmute button shows that your microphone is turned off.
• If the toolbar is not visible and you are using Windows or a Mac, you need to hover your mouse over the Zoom window. If you are using Android or iPhone, you need to tap the screen.

Use Zoom Keyboard Shortcuts

There are some Zoom keyboard shortcuts on both Mac and Windows.

• On Windows 10, press Alt + A to mute yourself.
