PES Skill Move Controls 2024: Body Feints

Body feints should be used to gain half a yard on your opponent.

If you don't have the pace to run around your defender, drop your shoulder, dart the other way, and either take a shot or make a pass.

The Gambetta is named after former Uruguayan footballer Schubert Gambetta, who would move the ball one way, drop his shoulder, beat the defender and push the ball back the other way.

Requires the scissors move skill

Scissors skills give you a more advanced change of direction than body feints.

The scissors move is simply a more exaggerated version of the Gambetta, and if your player has the scissors move player skill, they can pull it off at high speed to break through the defense as well.

For step overs, make sure you change direction after performing the move, otherwise you won't make any progress.

This is a more technical step up on the skills front. It's all about drawing the defender in and curling around them.

The drag and push, drag and close, and Scotch move should be used to gain a yard on the outside of the defender by letting you cut inside.

The Scotch move requires a player skill and takes its name from hopscotch, in which one leg moves under the other.

For a more advanced version of drag and close, you'll also need the drag back and turn player skill.

Elastico

The elastico has strong ties to Brazilian players like Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Neymar, who pull the trick off with ease.

Simply put, one foot pushes the ball one way then the other, but the 'elastic' foot skill is performed very quickly.

For more advanced, faster and more productive versions of the move, you'll need the flip flap player skill.

Roulette Move

Marseille turn Hold R → + hold L anywhere Hold R → + hold L anywhere The Marseille turn, Maradona turn or roulette is one of the most classic skills there is.

Zinedine Zidane loved to pull this move off by drawing the defender in with the ball, dragging it back, and then spinning it around the defender with his other foot.

The double touch is a more direct version of the Gambetta, where the attacker slides the ball from one foot to the other, gently beating the defender.

As for the cross turn, this slides the ball onto the other foot, but then strikes it under the other leg.

This is more geared toward holding onto the ball and then trying to beat your opponent.

Sombrero Flick

Sombrero flicks are true Brazilian moves.

The regular sombrero flicks the ball up in the air and touches it, while the crescent turn takes the ball behind you toward the defender and then over your head.

Small tricks and skills can help you create space!

As for the boomerang trap, this happens when you first receive the ball and it spins back toward you.

Pulling off the rainbow flick in-game is surprisingly easy, and with the right timing it can be very effective, letting you pop the ball up over your heels.
