Pokémon GO Launches Official Turkish Language Support

Pokémon GO's press conference to support the launch of Turkish language support was held yesterday at the JW Marriott Bosphorus. The event, attended by leading names in the tech and gaming press, featured Zoe Zhang, Emerging Markets Product Marketing Manager at the game's developer Niantic, and Nazih Fares, Communications and Localization Director at The 4 Winds Entertainment (T4W), Niantic's strategic marketing and communications partner in Türkiye.

Nazih Fares of T4W shared his thoughts on the matter, saying, "We're thrilled to support Niantic in the launch of Pokémon GO in Türkiye. We've been working hard for months to build a solid foundation for our long-term plans, which we'll support with community events and culturally meaningful initiatives for players here."

Fares then handed the microphone to Zhang. Zoe Zhang began her presentation with Niantic's first Pokémon GO teaser video, released in 2016, before stressing that Türkiye is a market they value and are committed to for the long term. She then shared the upcoming Pokémon GO Türkiye trailer with the Turkish press for the first time, expressing her feelings by saying, "We're incredibly happy to bring Pokémon GO to Türkiye with a localized Turkish app, and we're grateful to the amazing Trainer community in Türkiye who helped make this possible. We can't wait to keep growing and building on the game's success in Türkiye."
