PUBG's 28.2 Update Kicks Off the 7th Anniversary Festivities!

KRAFTON, Inc. is celebrating PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS' 7th anniversary with a newly released update. First launched on Steam as an Early Access title in 2017, PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS is one of the Battle Royale genre's leading games, setting a record by being selected for Platinum status in Steam's Best Sellers and Most Played categories every year for seven years running. Set to celebrate its 7th anniversary on March 23, the game also holds the distinction of reaching Steam's highest-ever concurrent player count, with 3.25 million concurrent players.

Celebrations Across All Maps

PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS will host a party for all players to celebrate its 7th anniversary. Erangel's School and cafeterias will be transformed into 7th anniversary-themed party venues, and you'll have a 7% chance to win anniversary-themed Energy Drinks from cafe vending machines. Throwable cakes and surprise gift packages are scattered across the starting islands of all maps. In addition, billboards, decorations, Care Packages, and starting plane banners across the maps have also been decked out with a 7th anniversary theme.

7th Anniversary Package

Starting today through April 8, players can visit the event page and press the Join Event button to get the 7th Anniversary Package. Those who complete the missions will earn 7th anniversary costume items, G-Coin, and Black Market Coupons as rewards.

7th Anniversary Screenshot Event

The 7th Anniversary Screenshot Event, running until March 27, invites players to take screenshots next to the 7th anniversary decorations on Erangel and submit them to community channels. Prizes include a PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS Razer Gaming Set, a Samsung 990 Pro 1 TB, and a keycap set specially designed for PUBG's 7th anniversary.

Gunplay Lab

The 28.2 Update introduces the Gunplay Lab, as announced in PUBG's 2024 Roadmap announcement. Players can now test the HMS balancing targeted for a mid-year release in Arcade and Custom Matches, and share feedback through a survey. The development team plans to continue weapon updates based on player feedback.
