PUBG Mobile 2.8 Update: Zombie Invasion

Zombies Are Coming to the Battlegrounds in the PUBG MOBILE 2.8 Update!

PUBG MOBILE's exciting 2.8 update adds zombie-infested battlegrounds along with a new PvE mode, Metro Royale Season 16, and Cycle 5 Season 14 to the game.

PUBG MOBILE, one of the world's most popular mobile games, will be invaded by undead armies with the 2.8 Update releasing on September 7. Ahead of Halloween, zombies are invading the battlegrounds, and eerie new enemies, challenges, abilities, and items await players to discover. The new update also brings major additions to the game, including Relic Scoring coming to World of Wonder, a new Zombie PvE template, a new Metro Royale season, and Cycle 5 Season 14.

The Zombie Invasion Begins

In the 2.8 update, infected zombie armies will invade the Erangel, Miramar, and Livik maps until November 6! Aerolith's pulsing dark energy is mutating the laboratory where it does its work, turning it into an abandoned wasteland filled with plenty of materials and resources. Players who enter this wasteland will automatically be given a Revival Card.

Players fighting deep within the Aerolith Laboratory and Headquarters on these maps must prevent Aerolith from taking over as many mutants as possible. The more mutants Aerolith takes over, the stronger the resulting, terrifying Enraged Savage will become, and the tougher the challenge awaiting players. Players who defeat this fearsome enemy will be rewarded with a crate.

Three equally terrifying types of Zombies also await players in the 2.8 Update. In addition to normal mutants, the tall and frightening Savage wields a weapon and shield with its enhanced, muscular right arm, while the highly agile Predator can leap quickly to attack and dodge blows.

The reward for defeating these living dead will be worth the challenges you face. While some Zombies roam ominously around the Aerolith Laboratory, the stronger Enraged Predator will be hiding closer to Aerolith. When these fearsome monsters are defeated, they'll drop genetic materials that grant players a range of enhanced supernatural abilities. These materials include the massive Mutation Gauntlet, which deals heavy melee damage with a powerful crushing ability, and the razor-sharp Mutation Sword for cutting down enemies. Combined with the Sprint ability, this lets players move quickly across the battlegrounds and deal damage along the way.

Players will also be able to use the Magnetic Hover Board, obtainable from the laboratory, to travel efficiently on both land and sea. There will also be a big surprise in early October for those who love to party, to celebrate Halloween!

The 2.8 Update also comes with a range of additions, including improvements to the World of Wonder creative mode with Relic Scoring, new gameplay dynamics for the Editor, and a new Zombie PvE Template. In this new game template, new waves of monsters appear each round, and players who defeat them all win.

In addition, Cycle 5 Season 14 has been updated with new content, rewards, and cosmetics for you to unlock and enjoy. Metro Royale Season 16, meanwhile, adds a new Dagger melee weapon and collectible items to the game.

Players can also look forward to two new and exciting collaborations, one with one of the world's biggest restaurant chains and another with a world-famous performance car brand.
