The beta update arrived on February 2, 2024, but a date for the full update hasn't been given yet.

What Are the 3.1 Update Details?

Core Content 1: New Themed Mode (available from 2/2)

New Map: Nimbus Island

• There are two islands, Day Island and Night Island: Day Island is bright and suited to firefights, while Night Island is darker and better for stealth. You can choose to enter either one. There's a countdown timer for the Nimbus Islands. When the countdown ends, you'll be teleported to a high point in the Playzone. You won't take damage from the Blue Zone while you're on Nimbus Island. Nimbus Islands disappear at the end of the countdown and can't be used again in the same match.
• When you enter Nimbus Island, you'll receive a Revival Card. Being eliminated on Nimbus Island consumes the Revival Card. You can summon a genie on Nimbus Island, which gives every player on the summoning squad an additional special Revival Card.
• Nimbus Islands are divided into three zones, with the Palace zone holding the best loot. After looting, you can leave Nimbus Island by approaching and touching the portal inside it.

Treasure Ship

There's a flying Treasure Ship on the map. It flies along a fixed route and stops for a while at each boarding point. The Treasure Ship is loaded with supplies and randomly drops a large number of airdrop rewards at boarding points along its route. There's also a Firework Cannon that can either launch fireworks or be used for movement. At the Treasure Ship's final destination, you can open the ultimate chest for rare rewards.

New Vehicle: Flying Carpet

Feature 1: Mobile Flying Carpet. When no one is on the carpet, it can dance along with the Emotes of nearby players. The carpet also shows some life from time to time even when idle.

Feature 2: Ground/Air Flight Switch. On the ground, the carpet glides slowly, letting passengers in the back fire their weapons. You can't fire while flying at height, but you can hold steady and perform flying acrobatic moves.

Third Feature: Recall and Drop-off. Like the Flying Car, players can recall the flying carpet and drop it off once they reach a certain distance.

New Throwable: Groove Bomb

A new throwable found in themed areas that can be used to temporarily suppress enemies: throw the Groove Bomb to summon a genie and create a temporary dance floor at the landing point. Players in the area are forced to dance with the genie. Throw multiple Groove Bombs at the same spot to expand the dance floor and refresh its duration.

New Tactical Item: Portal Device

Found on the map and in themed areas. Use this item to create two portals on the map to quickly cover mid-range distances, rescue teammates, carry throwable items, and more.

Treasure Map and Treasure Vault

At the start of the match, all players receive a Treasure Map. Use it to mark the treasure's location on the map: there are common and rare vaults, and each offers materials of a different quality when found. Any crate may contain a Treasure Vault Key. Open the Treasure Vault for a chance at rare materials.

There are also fun features to discover, like bell-ringing, javelin throwing, and more!

Core Content 2: New Home Feature (available from 2/2)

How to Access: A Home mode entry will be added to the WOW tab and the Social Lobby. Enter your Home to build on it, or visit other players' Homes.

Mode Details: Freely build the home of your dreams and earn amazing rewards by completing Home tasks. The Home also features interactive elements like the Home Tree, Messengers, a Photo Wall, and more!

Core Content 3: Core Experience Improvements (available from 2/2)

Vehicle Improvement: The Motor Glider's controls have been updated for better handling, and the Motor Glider's spawn rate on Erangel and Miramar has been increased.

Firearm Adjustments: The P90 has been reworked and added to airdrops. Some 7.62mm rifles like the ACE32 and M762, as well as some shotguns like the DBS, have been adjusted.

Movement Improvements: The behavior of firearms and characters while leaning against a wall, and the animation for climbing from water onto shore, have been improved.

Core Content 4: Miramar Updates (available from 3/2)

The Truck Stop and Partona urban areas have been added.

Gas Station Added: Use tokens to refuel vehicles.

Steel cables, shops, sandstorm weather, and more have been added to enhance combat dynamics on Miramar.

Core Content 5: WOW Gameplay Updates (available from February 23, 2020)

New Enchantopia: A map that anyone can access anytime, helping players grow creatively. Everyone can complete the training stages and take on challenges to enjoy creating in WOW.

New Gameplay Devices: Music blocks that let you edit features like color and tone, producing music when stepped on. Chat bubbles that can be created above characters' heads. A camera that can be switched to or locked onto a character with dynamically adjustable parameters. Spawns UH60 Helicopters. A device used to add/take items during gameplay, with data that can be saved to the cloud. More gameplay possibilities await you!

Core Content 6: Metro Royale (available from February 24, 2020)

Treasure Ship areas and Balloon Crates have been added to the Foggy Harbor and Arctic Base maps.

New Honor Rewards: Season 19 Elite Avatar, Season 19 Hero Avatar Frame, and Season 19 Legendary Name Tag. These rewards can be obtained once the corresponding Honor level is reached.

Other improvements and adjustments for Metro Royale.
