PUBG Mobile Karakin Map: Release Date and Features

Karakin, PUBG Mobile's smallest map to date, was first teased to players with the 1.3 Wild Rhythm Update. However, this map, which was very well received by PUBG Mobile players, never actually made it into the game and became something many players anxiously awaited.

What Is the PUBG Mobile Karakin Map?

Karakin is a North African Desert map with an open environment full of rocks and sand and sparse vegetation. It's a fairly small map in size, covering only a 2x2 area. But don't let its small size fool you, because it's as tense as Miramar and Erangel and as fast-paced as Sanhok, and the pace never lets up. Played in Classic mode, this map only supports 64-player matches due to its size.

You won't come across many buildings or structures on the Karakin map. On this map, which has very few buildings, air-drops usually land at the map's edges and are home to Escape Tunnels, which let players move around the map. Karakin also features Sticky Bombs that can damage walls and buildings, plus a Black Zone mechanic that's more dangerous than the Red Zone. The Black Zone is a mechanic meant to stop players from hiding inside buildings on the Karakin map. It plays out in real time in the area shown in purple on the mini-map, forcing players to move toward the safe zone. This exposes players who are camping in ambush, while also somewhat preventing players caught in close-quarters fights from dying in frustrating ways.

When Will the PUBG Mobile Karakin Map Arrive?

Yes, you're not seeing a mirage! The Karakin map is coming back to PUBG Mobile. First teased in the 1.3 Wild Rhythm update, the Karakin map will go live on the servers on April 7 and host some incredible firefights.
