PUBG's New Map RONDO Announced!
The Environment Design Showcase vividly captures the essence of RONDO with a captivating combination of traditional aesthetics and modern visuals. Also known as The Ground of Honor, RONDO is an 8x8 map and has the largest playable area of any PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS map. Players can experience RONDO with update 27.1, coming to PC on December 6 and to consoles on December 14.
RONDO's different regions are a seamless mix of traditional charm and contemporary visuals. In the southwest of the map, players encounter new environments such as lakes and bamboo groves, while the slopes stretching across the northeast offer a different gameplay ambiance. Surrounded by lakes and forests, Yu Lin has a beauty that carries traces of the past. Located in a traditional settlement, Tin Long Garden consists of waterfalls and rocky mountains that blend grandeur with nature. In Mey Ran, where buildings and rivers coexist, thrilling fights in the water await you.
In addition to this traditional texture, the map also features a modern city. Jadena City will host intense city fights with its tall skyscrapers and vivid neon signs. NEOX Factory, the factory area with a vehicle test track and a NEOX vehicle, Blanc, also promises players unique combat scenarios. Visually distinct areas such as Rin Jiang, Jao Tin and the Stadium are also waiting to be discovered in this region.
RONDO also has new elements of its own. Destructible bamboo placed strategically across the map can be broken by throwing objects or using vehicles, adding another tactical layer to the game. RONDO also has city-specific transport options. The Mid-Level Escalator in Jadena City lets players move quickly between buildings. A new weapon designed specifically for this map is also among the novelties: the JS9, a light 9mm submachine gun (SMG) with relatively low recoil and the option to switch to auto fire mode. This makes it a preferred choice for this map in particular.
