How Do You Do Athena Quests in Sea of Thieves?

At its core, Sea of Thieves is a game about existing as a pirate in a world. There's an overarching story, but the reason you're out on the open seas is piracy. Part of piracy is stealing from others, delivering goods for money, or working with trading companies to wreak havoc on their behalf.

There are plenty of pirate trading companies you can work for in Sea of Thieves, but for those hoping to pick up Athena quests, you'll need to work for the legendary pirate trading company, Athena's Fortune. If you're new to Sea of Thieves, unfortunately you won't have access to this company or its quests for quite a while. That's because you need to have earned Pirate Legend status to work with Athena's Fortune.

There's a lot involved in becoming a Pirate Legend, but it essentially comes down to reaching maximum rank with each of the game's three factions: the Gold Hoarders, the Order of Souls and the Merchant Alliance.

Once you've reached Pirate Legend status, head to Athena's Fortune Hideout. To do this, talk to the Mysterious Stranger at any Tavern.

This character will give you the Shanty of Legends, a song that can be played on any instrument. Once you've done this, a hidden passage leading to Athena's Fortune Hideout will open up somewhere in the world. Once you're inside the hideout, head to the large shipwreck. Right next to this wreck are some shops that can only be found in this area.

Inside the wreck there's a room occupied by the Pirate Lord. Talk to him, and he'll give you Athena's Fortune Voyages, or Athena quests. Just like you do with the trading companies in other games, complete the voyages and watch your faction XP grow.
