In Valheim, the open-world survival game, the Forge is the structure where you upgrade and repair the equipment you use to kill creatures, mine better ores, and stay warm in cold biomes. You can also craft the architectural pieces you'll use while building your home and base at the forge. In this article, we'll answer how to set up a forge and how to upgrade its level.

How Do You Build a Forge in Valheim?

To get a forge, you need to have a workbench set up nearby. Here's what you need to craft a forge:

• 4 coal
• 6 copper
• 4 stone
• 10 wood

To make coal, you can burn leftover food in a fire, or burn wood in a charcoal kiln to produce coal. To get copper, you need to smelt copper ore you have mined. To get stone, you can mine rocks or pick it up as loot from Greydwarfs. To get wood, simply chop down trees.

The forge has far more levels than the workbench. The forge can be upgraded up to level 7. Each forge level unlocks 6 different pieces of equipment you can craft. To level up the items produced at the forge, it will ask you for raw materials.

You must always repair your worn-out weapons at the forge before they break. As you progress through the ages and gather loot, the game will notify you, and you'll get the chance to craft higher-tier equipment.

Valheim Forge Leveling

In Valheim, you level up your forge with the help of extra equipment you place around it. These are:

Once you have obtained bronze bars, you can craft an anvil. Two bronze and five wood will bring your forge to level 2.
