The thing is, contracts appear to offer a stacking multiplier, meaning you earn more XP for every additional contract you complete. It's not clear whether this is working as intended, so we should assume it's a bug that will get patched. Complete as many of these Safecracker contracts as you can to stack up a ton of XP and cash.

Buy Items from the Buy Station

Speaking of cash, another neat feature of Warzone 2.0 is that you earn weapon XP by purchasing items from the store. So if you combine this with the earlier method of completing Safecracker contracts to earn cash (and XP, of course), you'll have plenty of money to buy items from the store. The most effective way to spend your cash is buying Armor Plates, since they're an unlimited resource and only cost $400. So if you've completed multiple Safecracker contracts and also collected cash along the way, you should have enough money to buy a large number of Armor Plates. The more you buy, the more Weapon XP you earn, so keep that in mind.

Play Shoothouse in Modern Warfare II

Both of the methods mentioned above require you to already be familiar with Warzone 2.0, which can be off-putting, especially for newcomers. If you want to understand how movement and gunplay work, playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is best, since it shares the same engine as Warzone 2.0 — especially the new Shoothouse playlist, which is a smaller map. This makes it easy to get into a large number of engagements each match, with plenty of potential for kills. Of course, the more eliminations you get, the more XP you earn. The catch is that Modern Warfare II isn't free, so if you don't want to spend money, you'll want to skip this method.

Play DMZ

Finally, you can jump into DMZ to efficiently earn weapon XP by taking down AI and completing mission objectives. This isn't the fastest way to earn XP, but it can be more consistent than playing battle royale, especially if you're a new player.
