Beginner's Guide to Vi in Wild Rift

In this game, if you play in coordination with your teammates, your chances of winning are a lot higher.

What Are the Basics of Jungling?

To be able to play the game, you first need to understand which role you're playing. The jungle role is also a valid role in the game. Located between top lane and mid lane, and between mid lane and bot lane, the jungle path can form the backbone of the game. When you start the game, it will give you a simple tutorial. You can find some information about the monsters and jungle in the tutorial section. But this tutorial may not be enough for you. A jungler needs to know what kind of power each monster grants. Once you gain these powers, they can help you in the situations you need. Vi is played more often in the jungler role because she can kill this monster alone, without any help. After activating some helpful buffs, a jungler is strategically positioned to leave the jungle either to help an ally in need or to catch an enemy champion off guard. For this reason, several champions are designed to take on a dual jungler/assassin role so they can use the battlefield flexibly and help their team no matter how the match turns out.

Master Your Abilities!

Whichever role you want to play, you need to master your abilities (skills) to use any champion efficiently. That's why we're sharing Vi's abilities. Here are Vi's skills;

Passive ability:

By targeting an enemy, Vi deals extra damage every third hit. This also reduces the enemy's armor, leaving them open to more damage. Vi's passive plays a crucial role in making her an efficient jungler and a deadly assassin.

Vault Breaker:

By charging her gauntlets, Vi throws a wall-breaking punch that lets her move forward. Enemies hit are knocked back and gain a stack of Denting Blows.

Blast Shield:

Vi gains a stack of Blast Shield when she lands an attack or ability on an enemy. Blast Shield creates a shield that absorbs damage. Also, once the effect reaches its maximum stacks, Vi gains movement speed.

Relentless Force:

Vi's next attack pierces through the target, dealing damage to enemies behind it.

Ultimate: Assault and Battery:

Vi charges toward an enemy, knocking aside anyone in her path. Upon reaching the target, she launches them into the air, leaps after them, and slams them into the ground with her fist.

Which Ability Should I Use First?

1. The first ability you should activate and use is Vi's Vault Breaker. This ability will make you more mobile in the early stages of the game.
2. After giving Vi some options, you should focus on charging Vault Breaker before focusing on activating her ultimate ability as the final goal. Then, you'll want to periodically charge her ultimate while leveling up Vi's other abilities so it's fully upgraded by the late game.
3. The next ability to level up is Relentless Force, since you'll want to start benefiting from the buffing effects it provides to your follow-up attacks.
4. Then it's time to charge up Blast Shield to protect Vi from the increasingly heavy knockbacks toward the end of the match. Don't forget not to neglect charges to Vi's ultimate along the way.

A Small Note on Summoner Spells

Smite is a jungler's closest friend. This ability lets you heal off jungle monsters. Flash, meanwhile, is a classic short-range teleport ability that gets you out of trouble. This ability gives you a small escape option during fights.

What Are Vi's Items?

This is probably the most frustrating part of the game. Because item choice matters a whole lot for a champion. A champion with the right items chosen can play like a champion sworn to carry the game to victory. Thanks to these items, you can deal more damage than you'd expect to your opponent even with the smallest basic attack. So what are these items?

If you're going to keep playing as a fighter in the jungle, these items may be better for Vi;

Trinity Force:

An item that's a key factor in boosting Vi's health, damage, and speed, and in developing her core strength as a fighter.

Sterak's Gage:

This plays a major role in Vi's last line of defense and provides a big boost to her base health and attack.

Mercury's Treads:

This helps Vi resist spell effects and shake off other disabling effects like slows and stuns.

Dead Man's Plate:

Along with more health and armor, this is an item related to boosting Vi's momentum across the map so she can jump from one skirmish to another and quickly power up her team.

Spirit Visage:

Another item that helps Vi tank up, Spirit Visage is an item that protects you quite well from magic damage.

Randuin's Omen:

Boosts Vi's health and armor once again, and also reduces damage from critical strikes.

If you want to keep playing as an assassin in the jungle, you'll need to get these items for Vi;

Black Cleaver:

Giving some extra health, Black Cleaver is made primarily to boost physical damage and move quickly after a kill.

Duskblade of Draktharr:

With a small attack and speed boost, this item's primary benefit comes from briefly vanishing to catch enemy champions off guard for extra damage.

Iceborn Gauntlet:

Contributes to Vi's movement speed. It also reduces ability cooldowns and has an active effect that lets Vi dash forward and strike with a cone-shaped burst of spell damage.

Youmuu's Ghostblade:

Equipped primarily to boost Vi's momentum, this item also gives a small boost to her attack and armor penetration.

Serylda's Grudge:

Guardian Angel:

Giving Vi some armor and more attack damage, Guardian Angel also has a resurrection effect that restores 50% of Vi's base health, and even some mana, a short delay after she takes lethal damage.
