What We Know About the WoW Shadowlands Beta Update and Release Date

The WoW Shadowlands release date may only be a few weeks away. A new beta has already launched for testing!

The WoW Shadowlands release date still looks like 2020, but players still fear it could be delayed. Players think the next realistic playable date will be in November. The World of Warcraft pre-patch has been available for a short while, but that doesn't mean there won't be more testing or new fixes.

Earlier this week, Blizzard confirmed that the development team has been looking at changes to the UI and the Soulbind system, and launched a new WoW Shadowlands beta.

WoW Shadowlands New Features

Other changes are also being tested for Ve'nari in the Maw, who will start selling several items that serve as meta progression for Torghast. There's no guarantee these changes will make it into the final version of the game, but Blizzard has told players it expects plenty of feedback.

Revamped User Interface

The user interface has been revamped. The Reservoir UI is no longer tied to your NPC. You now have your own dedicated NPC in your Sanctum. Past and upcoming rewards should now look much clearer, and some rewards on the Renown track should be placed in more appropriate spots.

Soulbinds

Abilities have been reorganized, and in most cases players will notice that the ability that used to be the final ability in earlier builds is now the starting ability. Where that isn't the case, existing abilities have been adjusted to match the expected power level.
