WoW Shadowlands adventure has not even finished its first week, and many players are already wondering what to do daily and weekly. We have compiled what to do in WoW Shadowlands’s first week.

Shadowlands Covenant Selection

Of course, the first thing we need to do is quickly reach Level 60 and choose a “Covenant.” So what is a Covenant? Is it edible?

Covenants are very old and powerful communities that control the realm of the Shadowlands. These beings have existed since the Shadowlands were formed and make great efforts to keep the balance of the afterlife ecosystem from being disturbed. It falls to us to devote ourselves to these powerful beings and benefit from their blessings.

Each Covenant house offers abilities specific to your character class. Which of these abilities you take is up to you, but do not forget that they will give your character a serious advantage. So choose carefully.

Besides these, each Covenant also has its own cosmetic items such as mount, armor and weapon appearances.

Shadowlands First Week Weekly To-Do List

Every week you will have 2 quests that earn Renown.

  • The “! Replenish the Reservoir” quest at your Covenant sanctum will ask you to collect 1,000 Anima.
  • The “! Return Lost Souls” quest, also at your Covenant sanctum, will ask you to collect 5 souls from the Maw.

Renown is a kind of reputation system. As you earn Renown, your Covenant points will increase, which will let you earn unique items from the Covenant you chose.

By the end of this week, your Renown should be at 3.

Torghast, Tower of the Damned – 810 Soul Ash

Finishing Torghast will earn you “Soul Ash.” Torghast has two stages: Soulforges and The Upper Reaches.

In the first stage, you will need to unlock all the layers in the area. This will earn you 305 Soul Ash.

  • When you complete the 1st Layer, you unlock the 2nd Layer,
  • when you complete the 2nd Layer, you unlock the 3rd Layer,
  • and when you complete the 3rd Layer, you will finish the first stage.

For the second stage, you will start from the 3rd Layer and directly earn the Soul Ash from the layers before it. (305 Soul Ash)

Only for this week, you will have the “! Explore Torghast” quest. When you complete the first stage of Torghast, you also complete this quest and pocket an extra 200 Soul Ash, for a total of 810 Soul Ash.

For those who do not know: “Soul Ash” is a material. With this material you can create and upgrade max-level Legendary weapons and equipment.

If You Have Time, Do Not Forget to Stop by Those Tough Dungeons Too!

Mythic Dungeons drop 184 i-lvl equipment and can also drop Legendary equipment recipes. Although I do not see it as a must for the first week, if you have time it can provide an advantage that should not be overlooked.

Wrath of the Jailer – 183 i-lvl Equipment Chance

The Wrath of the Jailer event appears as a big star on the Maw map. You will notice it when you look at the map once the event starts. This is actually the “World Boss” event we knew from before. Even if you cannot kill such bosses alone, right now everyone is busy doing quests in the Maw, so a right-click as you pass by could get you a 183 i-lvl equipment drop. The right-click matters!

For those who do not know, since such “World Boss”es will not give rewards if you try to kill them more than once a week, stopping by once a week is enough.

Weekly PvP / Dungeon Quests

In Oribos there are 3 quests you can take weekly for PvP or dungeons.

  • The ones for dungeons are at Broker’s Den (51.2, 43.1).
  • The ones for PvP will be given to you by Strategist Zo’rak.

This week's PvE quests:

  • ! A Valuable Find: Spires of Ascension
  • ! Trading Favors: Necrotic Wake

Depending on your choice, these quests give 175 Anima or 500 Reputation.

This week's PvP quest:

  • ! Observing Battle

Depending on your choice, this quest will give you 250 Anima or 500 Honor.

Shadowlands First Week Daily To-Do List

Before we start, I should say that weekly quests are much more important than daily activities. Focus on doing the weekly quests first.

WoW Shadowlands Callings

When you unlock “Covenant Callings,” you can have up to 3 Callings at once, like the Emissaries in Battle for Azeroth.

Covenant Calling quest list showing three active CallingsCalling quests have many different reward pools, such as Conduits and high-level equipment.

World Quests

Shadowlands “World Quests” are very similar to the quests we did in Battle for Azeroth. This time there will just be fewer of them to do. Although we have fewer quests, because of the length of the new quests and because we cannot use the whistle from BfA, in Shadowlands we are in for somewhat more grueling quests.

That is all I have to say for now. We have a very long adventure ahead and the troubles Sylvanas has opened not just on our heads but on all of Azeroth to get rid of. Through this process, how will our sister Sylvanas react, and will the Horde and Alliance sides poke their own eyes out while trying to make an eyebrow, we will all see together. What can we say, see you again in the Maw!Sylvanas Windrunner in the Maw at the end of the first week guide
