Best Valheim Weapons and How to Craft Them (Early Access, March 2021)

Although still in Early Access, Valheim, much loved by many players, expands in content day by day, letting players have more enjoyable times.

Whether you use it in PvP mode or against the mobs in the game, a good weapon will be very useful while playing Valheim. 

Valheim Weapon Types and Classes

Weapons in Valheim generally come in several types, as we are used to from MMORPG-type games: 

• Club 
• Mace 
• Spear 
• Knife 
• Polearm 
• Bow 
• Sledgehammer 
• Axe 

To use any weapon of these types more effectively, you need to gain experience in that type.

Stagbreaker: The Best Early Weapon in Valheim

The Stagbreaker, a sledgehammer-style weapon, hits hard despite being slow and can deal area damage.

• Required station level: 2 

Frostner: The Best Club in Valheim

It has no secondary attack, but deals frost and spirit damage with every hit.

• Required station level: 3 

Iron Sledge: The Best Sledgehammer in Valheim

A reinforced Stagbreaker, and therefore the strongest sledgehammer in Valheim. Besides the tremendous damage it deals, it is the weapon with the strongest knockback effect.

Porcupine: The Best Mace in Valheim

The Porcupine, which you can use together with a shield, is among the strongest Maces.

Fang Spear: The Best Spear in Valheim

It may look similar to the ordinary Flint Spear, but it deals three times more damage with every thrust. In a quick and accurate throw it can really hurt.

Blackmetal Knife: The Best Knife in Valheim

With its high damage and attack rate, it is the most dangerous knife in Valheim. Especially in the hands of someone who knows how to use it!

• Required station level: 4 

Silver Sword: The Best Sword in Valheim

The Silver Sword is a very powerful sword with a high damage rate. However, it is not the best of this class.

• Required station level: 3 

Battleaxe: The Best Axe in Valheim

The Battleaxe's high parry power and almost equal damage make it a great weapon on its own, and it can also be used together with a shield.

• Required station level: 2 

Blackmetal Atgeir: The Best Polearm in Valheim

The Blackmetal Atgeir, probably the best weapon in Valheim, is a terrifying force in skilled hands. The best of its excellent class, this Atgeir deals very high damage, has excellent range, and has great utility and crowd control with its Spin attack.

Draugr Fang: The Best Bow in Valheim

Its base damage alone is enough to make it the best bow. Not to mention the poison damage it deals!

• Required station level: 2 

Silver Arrows: The Best Arrows in Valheim

To deal instant damage and end fights before they begin, Silver arrows are definitely the right choice.
