According to Pearl Abyss's announcement on March 10, the Eternal Winter expansion for Black Desert will release on April 6, 2022.

The Black Desert Online Eternal Winter pack will feature very cold, snowy regions. If you don't warm yourself up, your health will gradually drop and a new Frostbite debuff will be applied. The Black Desert Online Eternal Winter pack is reported to bring four new monster zones, including Murrowak's Labyrinth and Jade Starlight Forest. Fossils in the Eternal Winter pack will be scattered around the snow-covered mountain. Interacting with these strange, beautiful-looking fossils will summon spirits consumed by the unknown darkness. Players will also be able to obtain a new crafting material called Flame of Frost to make Lebraska's Helmet, an item equal in status to the Fallen God's Armor.
