Brawl Stars' long-awaited new stars have finally been revealed. Rosa and Iris will join the roster after Brawl Stars' latest update.
Let's take a look together at the general kit and abilities of these two upcoming characters;
Brawl Stars' New Character Rosa and Her Abilities
Rosa, who sprays out a liquid her opponents won't enjoy at all, stands out as a character with an advantage against enemies camping in the bushes.
Once you start playing, you'll realize Rosa is also quite skilled with botany, and you'll notice you can control plants however you like.
Once Rosa's Super is activated, any Brawler hiding in a bush takes 100 damage and is slowed for 3 seconds. Even though it might not seem like a lot of damage at first glance, slowing an opponent for 3 seconds can be very useful in ambushes.
We mentioned that it slows enemies for 3 seconds, but if Rosa can't reach the enemies within those three seconds, it doesn't mean much! To make the most of this ability, it will help a lot to run a 3-player team where she's paired with shooters like Pia and Pepper, since being in the same team as them will give them more chances to land hits.
100 damage isn't exactly lethal, in fact you could say it's on the low side. Think of that damage as just a bonus. Her real strength is the slow, and it can pose a huge threat when used with the right tactics.
Brawl Stars' New Character Iris and Her Abilities
Iris's second new ability, which works like damage reflection, seems very well designed and looks like it will be very useful in close combat.
So how does this ability work? As the name suggests, once you activate this ability, it reflects eighty percent of the damage the enemy deals to her back at them. In other words, they end up taking 80% of the damage they dealt to you themselves.
The first question that came to mind was "should we use Iris like a suicide commando?" Let's imagine a 3v3 match: Iris throws herself into the middle of the enemies and activates her ability, and on top of the damage she deals before dying, imagine she also deals 80% more damage thanks to the damage-reflection ability. Not a bad idea at all.
