CoD Warzone Verdansk Zombies: New Radiation Zones Explained

For Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3, Raven Software added new radiation zones to the prison and shipwreck.

CoD: Warzone Verdansk Zombies!

On April 15, Activision, the publisher of Call of Duty: Warzone, announced that the ongoing zombie infestation in Verdansk had reached 100%, leading to the addition of huge radiation zones marked on the map with red circles. With this new addition, everything will suddenly turn a greenish color if players enter within the boundaries of these circles. This greenish color is damaging radiation. That means players can die if they spend too long inside it.

The first two radiation zones were placed around the Vodianoy shipwreck and the prison. These two points also happen to be the first two POIs that had zombies when the outbreak began at the start of Season 2. It's not yet clear whether this is a coincidence. If it isn't, the next radiation zones will most likely be at the hospital and downtown.

Finally, we should mention that dealing damage isn't the only thing these radioactive areas do. If you die from radiation, you can turn into a zombie, and as a zombie you can run faster, may be immune to fall damage, and can gain a variety of special abilities.
