In Dragon Age: The Veilguard, players will take on the role of Rook, a fully customizable protagonist who must rise, unite a team, and become the hero Thedas needs during an era when legends are being born or slain. In the fight against the corrupted Elven gods, Rook is joined by seven key companions, each drawn from iconic factions across Dragon Age lore. Alongside their own personal stories and motivations, Bellara, Davrin, Emmrich, Harding, Lucanis, Neve, and Taash all bring unique combat abilities and equipment into battle that Rook must use strategically in the fight for Thedas's future.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard's Creative Director John Epler said, "As someone who has worked on Dragon Age for more than 15 years, I know our community has long been waiting for this day, and I'm thrilled and excited to announce that Dragon Age: The Veilguard will officially launch on October 31, 2024."
