FC 24 Ultimate Team: Best Players by Position

In this article, I'll cover the best cheap, mid-range, and expensive players for every position (excluding icons and heroes) in FC 24 Ultimate Team. After this article, you'll be able to add to your squad based on your budget and where your team is lacking.

NOTE: Since player prices change constantly, it's best to track prices on FUTBIN.

Goalkeepers:

Cheap: Nick Pope

If you've got a Premier League squad or you're just starting out, I think he's the best cheap goalkeeper you can put in your team.

Mid-range: Maignan

Maignan is a very valuable player thanks to his Serie A and French links. I've included him in the mid-range tier because I think his in-game saves are excellent too.

Expensive: Alisson

Liverpool's Brazilian goalkeeper is, I'd say, the best goalkeeper I've used this season. Considering he also has Brazil and Premier League links, you can slot him into your squad with ease.

FC 24 Ultimate Team Right-Backs:

Cheap: Marcos Llorente

A card you can also use as a midfielder, he's genuinely excellent at right-back for the price. He has Spain and La Liga links, so you can chemistry-link him easily.

Mid-range: Achraf Hakimi

Since PSG doesn't have that many good players this season, his price has dropped a lot compared to previous years. You might struggle a bit with chemistry links, but you'll get a very good right-back.

Expensive: Kyle Walker

Manchester City's right-back is currently very good value for money, and he's definitely one of the best right-backs you can use. Thanks to both his Premier League and England links, he's a player you can easily slot into your squad.

FC 24 Ultimate Team Centre-Backs

Cheap: Josko Gvardiol

The card of the player Manchester City signed this summer is an excellent price-to-performance card. He's this cheap only because his links depend solely on the Premier League.

Mid-range: Antonio Rudiger

Rudiger is genuinely a total tank. A player who makes you feel his strength. Thanks to his La Liga, Real Madrid, and Germany links, he's also easy to chemistry-link.

Expensive: Virgil Van Dijk

Van Dijk takes you back to that incredible 2019 form in-game. Even though his price is a bit high, he's a player who will make you very happy.

FC 24 Ultimate Team Left-Backs:

Cheap: Alex Balde

Barcelona's left-back is a total price-to-performance player. Thanks to his Spain and Barcelona links, you can add him to your squad very easily.

Mid-range: Fridolina Rolfö

Another Barcelona player, but this time from the women's game. Despite being a full-back, every one of her ratings is above 80, and she also has the Trickster playstyle. Chemistry-linking her can be a bit tricky, but I'd still recommend adding her to your squad.

Expensive: Theo Hernandez

Milan's French right-back can do everything you'd want from a full-back. He's not difficult to chemistry-link either, so you can add him to your squad with confidence.

Ultimate Team Defensive Midfielders:

Cheap: Aurélien Tchouaméni

A total price-to-performance card! A physically strong defensive midfielder with good defensive stats, and he has France, Real Madrid, and La Liga links.

Mid-range: Sandro Tonali

Italian midfielders have always felt different to me. Here's one of the best midfielders in modern football. With Premier League and Italy links, you should definitely try Tonali. He makes it feel like he's everywhere on the pitch.

Expensive: Jude Bellingham

Another Real Madrid player, Bellingham's card from the Trailblazers promo is a genuinely excellent defensive midfielder, though you can also use him as a central midfielder if you prefer.

Ultimate Team Central Midfielders:

Cheap: Rodrigo De Paul

Messi's bodyguard is one of the best players you can put in your central midfield cheaply early on. His La Liga and Argentina links will make things much easier for you at the start.

Mid-range: Kevin De Bruyne

Currently one of the best midfielders in the world, KDB will definitely add a huge amount of technique to your midfield. Even though his physical attributes aren't great, what he can do on the ball more than makes up for it.

Expensive: Alexia Putellas

Next up is a female footballer. In my opinion, she's the best central midfielder in the game. With 5-star skill moves and a 5-star weak foot, every attribute on this card is genuinely built for the center. You can add her to your team using Barcelona and Spain links for chemistry.

FC 24 Ultimate Team Attacking Midfielders:

Cheap: Joao Felix

The player who transferred to Barcelona this season might be the best attacking midfielder you can get cheaply. Along with his Barcelona and Portugal links, he's also a 5-skill-move player.

Mid-range: Paulo Dybala

The Argentine star's inform card found its place in the mid-range tier. With top-tier dribbling, passing, and shooting, he's a true number 10.

Expensive: Antoine Griezmann

The French star's Trailblazers card is a near-perfect number 10. I think he only has one weakness, which is his 3-star weak foot. Chemistry-linking him is very simple since he's a France and La Liga player.

Ultimate Team Left Wingers:

Cheap: Luiz Diaz

Liverpool's left winger Diaz is definitely a very good cheap winger. To chemistry-link him, all you need is Liverpool or Premier League players.

Mid-range: Rafael Leao

Milan's Portuguese star fits comfortably into the mid-range tier. Thanks to his pace, dribbling, physicality, and shooting, plus the Rapid playstyle, it's a very good card.

Expensive: Vinicius Junior

Real Madrid's left winger is by far the best winger in the game right now. With his pace, dribbling, shooting, 5-star skill moves, and on top of that the Quickstep playstyle, it's an extremely high-level card.

EA FC 24 Ultimate Team Right Wingers:

Cheap: Karim Adeyemi

Dortmund's young player is the best cheap option at right winger. His pace is definitely his standout attribute. With a 96 pace rating, he also has the Quickstep playstyle.

Mid-range: Mousa Diaby

Yes, another card that stands out for its pace. Even though his stats don't look amazing on paper, this card can genuinely create a huge number of chances thanks to his speed.

Expensive: Ousmane Dembele

Dembele's card from the RTTK promo is one of the best right wingers around. With a combo of 5-star skill moves and 5-star weak foot, alongside very good stats and the Rapid playstyle.

FC 24 Ultimate Team Strikers:

Cheap: Victor Osimhen

You need a bit of money for a good striker. In our cheap category, we have Napoli's Osimhen. Thanks to his pace, physicality, and finishing, he's genuinely an excellent card.

Mid-range: Marcus Rashford

The English star of the Red Devils has 5-star skill moves and very good stats. Thanks to his England and Premier League links, you can chemistry-link him very easily.

Expensive: Kylian Mbappe

Whether it's his gold card or his Trailblazers card, it doesn't matter. Mbappe is definitely the best striker in the game. I can't fully describe what he's capable of. You'll only understand it by trying him yourself. You can add him to your team using France chemistry.
