FC 24: How to Do a Bicycle Kick

As football fans, with days to go until the release of one of our favorite and most eye-catching shooting techniques, I'm going to explain how to do a bicycle kick in FC 24.

How Do You Do a Bicycle Kick in FC 24?

To pull off a bicycle kick in FC24, the cross you make first needs to drop behind the player who will do the bicycle kick. With the ball coming down behind him, you can get your player to do a bicycle kick by pressing L2+Shot on PlayStation, or LT+Shot on Xbox.

As much as we love scoring with a bicycle kick, we have to accept that not every cross will result in one. If the cross you made drops behind the player, you can do a bicycle kick, but if it goes in front of or to the side of the player, they may try a different shot style instead (scorpion kick, volley, header…).

What Are the Finer Points of Pulling Off a Bicycle Kick in FC 24?

I mentioned the buttons above; now I'll explain what you need to know to be able to do a bicycle kick in FC 24.

1. When crossing from far out, it's ideal to fill up 2-2.5 bars with your player, but if you're close, you can try a lofted cross by pressing L1+cross on PlayStation, or LB+cross on Xbox.
2. The most important thing to watch for when crossing is that the area around the player you're crossing to isn't crowded. If it is, the opponent's defender can disrupt your player and stop you from pulling off the bicycle kick.
3. I don't recommend making the bicycle kick your main goal-scoring weapon, because just like in real life, it isn't a shot technique that scores a lot of goals in FC24 either.

When Is the FC 24 Release Date?

The standard edition of FC 24 releases on September 29, but if you got the Ultimate edition, you can play the game a week early on September 22 thanks to early access.
