What Should EA FC 24 Controller Settings Be?

To each their own, and everyone should set up their controller settings however feels most comfortable. That said, the most important controller setting we'd definitely recommend here is running with R2 and holding R1 as the finesse button. Considering that R1 dribbling (Messi Dribbling) is very popular in the current meta, and that we use R1 + L1 for a power shot, running with R1 the old-fashioned way (PES buttons) would make it harder to position your hand and would keep you from properly performing the game's meta moves. As a longtime player myself, I switched to running with R2, and after struggling for the first few days, I now play very comfortably, and the change has significantly improved my skills. Beyond that, you can shoot with either the "Square" button or the "Circle" button, and you can also change your defending buttons.

Throughout the old FIFA series and even in the PES era, I've always argued that you should play with the analog stick. Especially looking at EA FC 24 and how the game has developed in recent years, if you're still moving with the d-pad, I have to say you're starting the match at least 1-0 down.

For me, the best camera has always been Tele Broadcast. As the camera used by broadcasters and the one that gives you the most comfortable view of the pitch, Tele Broadcast should be your first choice.

As a tweak here, if you raise the camera height to 20, set Zoom to 0, and set Far Side Focus to 10, you'll get to play from a higher angle with a wider view.

It might feel a bit odd at first, but you'll get used to it very quickly afterward. You'll be playing with a camera angle like the one shown in the video below.
