FC 27 skill moves live on the right stick, often combined with L1, L2, R1 or R2. Your player's 1–5 star Skill Moves rating decides which tricks are available. Below is every tier with PlayStation and Xbox inputs side by side.
How FC 27 skill moves work

Every player in FC 27 has a Skill Moves rating from one to five stars. A 3-star player can do every 1, 2 and 3-star move; 5-star players get the full list. Inputs are read relative to the way your player is facing. The tables assume you're facing the opponent's goal, so the same right-stick motion can produce a different move after a turn.
All inputs use the default Classic scheme. "□ or ○, then X" means a fake shot or fake cross: press shoot or cross and immediately cancel with pass. Moves are compiled from FC 27 lists such as FIFPlay's where several sources agree; moves where sources contradict each other were left out.
What's changed in FC 27?

EA's FC 27 Gameplay Deep Dive doesn't announce any additions to the skill move list. The official dribbling changes are:
- Off-Balance Dribbling: players with the right Balance, Agility and Dribbling attributes can stumble through collisions and shoulder challenges while keeping control. It's only on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Switch 2.
- PlayStyle balancing: the gap between Technical Dribbler and Technical Dribbler+ is smaller, and the dribbling and acceleration boosts from Rapid and Quick Step were reduced.
- Trickster: per EA's PlayStyles guide, Trickster grants unique flick skill moves, while Trickster+ unlocks more ground and flick moves and adds agility when strafe dribbling.
Plenty of gaming sites report four new moves in FC 27: Fake Turn, Ball Roll Spin, Stepover Combo and the Kneel (Kneeling) Header, with the Kneeling Header usually tied to the Trickster PlayStyle. Those sites disagree on star ratings and inputs, though (one lists the Kneeling Header at 1 star, another at 5), and EA hasn't published official inputs. We've kept those four out of the tables below; check the in-game skill list for them.

Simplified Skill Moves
If complex inputs aren't your thing, EA's FC 27 accessibility page lists a Simplified Skill Moves option. It's off by default. When enabled, pushing the right stick in one of the four main directions triggers a context-appropriate move automatically. Here is the mapping EA published for FC 26; EA hasn't said whether it changed for FC 27:
| Stars | RS forward | RS left / right | RS back |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1–2 stars | Low Skill Roulette. | Ball Roll | Feint Forward and Turn. |
| 3–4 stars | Roulette | Stop and Turn. | Feint Forward and Exit. |
| 5 stars | 3 Touch Roulette | Drag Turn | Flair Nutmeg 180 |
EA says these shortcut moves take longer than their standard versions, can only be chained three times in a row and are slightly more error-prone.
Skill moves on keyboard
FC 27's new keyboard layouts use a modifier plus the arrow keys in place of the right stick. According to EA's PC Deep Dive chart, that's Right Shift + arrow key on WASD and Left Shift + arrow key on Arrow Keys.
Which skill moves should you learn first?

You don't need the whole list. With FC 27 strengthening manual defending and dialling back automatic AI tackles, low-risk moves that change direction are the most valuable:
- Ball Roll (2 stars): quick, safe, opens a passing angle.
- Drag Back (2 stars): the easiest way to shield the ball and reset play when you're cornered.
- Roulette and Stop and Turn (3–4 stars): for spinning away from pressure coming from behind.
- La Croqueta (4 stars): short and sharp, ideal for slipping between two defenders.
- Elastico (5 stars): deadly once a defender shifts their weight; easy to read if you use it too early.

Frequently Asked Questions
What button do you use for skill moves in FC 27?
Skill moves use the right stick, often combined with L1 / LB, L2 / LT or R1 / RB. On PC keyboard it's Right Shift + arrows on WASD or Left Shift + arrows on Arrow Keys.
What are the new skill moves in FC 27?
Gaming sites list Fake Turn, Ball Roll Spin, Stepover Combo and the Kneeling Header as new. EA hasn't published an official list or inputs for them, and the reported inputs differ between sites.
How many stars do you need for the Elastico?
The Elastico and Reverse Elastico are 5-star moves. Rotate the right stick from right, through back, to left (left to right for the reverse).
Why aren't my skill moves working?
Usually it's one of two things: the player doesn't have enough skill stars, or they're facing a different direction so the input reads as another move. Also check whether Simplified Skill Moves is switched on.
What does the Trickster PlayStyle do?
EA says Trickster grants unique flick skill moves. Trickster+ unlocks more ground and flick moves and improves agility when strafe dribbling.
