Warzone Season 1 arrives on November 6 and it is a reset for the battle royale. Activision's roadmap adds the Hajin and Zodiac maps, fully integrates Modern Warfare 4 and brings Warzone to Switch 2 for the first time.
Activision published a dedicated Warzone post on the Call of Duty blog on November 2. Until now we only knew the map names. Now the modes, new gear and the fate of older weapons are all confirmed.
When does Warzone Season 1 start?
Season 1 goes live at midnight ET on November 6, or 9 PM PT on November 5, on every platform at once. The update resets Player Level, so you can level up again and optionally Prestige across Multiplayer, DMZ and Warzone.

Warzone lands on Switch 2
The biggest surprise in the roadmap is Nintendo Switch 2. Season 1 marks Warzone's first launch on Nintendo hardware. It is free-to-play there too, and Hajin, Zodiac and every other playlist will be available.
What is new in Hajin and Zodiac?
Hajin is a large battle royale map and Warzone's first trip to the Korean Peninsula. It has 13 major points of interest across North and South Korea. In the south, Hajin City's towers and the open fields of Imjin Farmland stand out. Up north you will find the 14th Political Prison, Chang-san Air Base and Deadtown.
Weather changes from match to match, from clear skies to fog, wind, rain and distant storms. The new Gulag comes in two versions, and spectators get ground-level views for the first time.
Zodiac is a compact Resurgence map set in a drone factory in South Korea. It has ten points of interest. Moving trains on Trackline's double railway, underground tunnels and shifting solar panels keep fights fast. Beenox, the studio behind Rebirth Island and Vondel, built it with Infinity Ward.
Verdansk and Rebirth Island return
Two classic maps come back during the season. Verdansk adds new landmarks such as the Signal Station, the Grazna-7 Launch Complex, the Overlook skyscraper and the Drone Labs. Rebirth Island returns with its prison, control center and waterways.

Rally Point is a practice mode on Zodiac. There is no circle, respawns are unlimited and you can drop in or out at any time. Neutral Grounds let you form alliances of up to four players. According to Dot Esports, Massive Resurgence runs on Hajin with 120 players.
Weapons and gameplay changes
All 33 Modern Warfare 4 launch weapons arrive, plus the Season 1 guns. Tactical Sprint no longer needs a Perk, though its duration is slightly shorter. You can now drag downed allies while reviving them. Footstep audio and visibility also get improvements.
- Zipline Launcher: A new Field Upgrade that builds ziplines between rooftops. Enemies can use them too.
- Grabber Drone: A rare drone that can carry loot, objects and even a downed teammate.
- Elite Perks: A new layer of Perks to boost your Operator.
- Interactive objects: Pushable cover and moveable fuel barrels.
What happens to legacy weapons and cosmetics?
Cosmetics from MWII, MWIII, Black Ops 6 and Black Ops 7 stay usable through Carry Forward. Older guns move to a Legacy tab. They still work, but you cannot edit them in Gunsmith. Each one gets a five-attachment version, and Legacy Blueprints start locked and unlock with Player XP in the Armory.
