Honkai: Nexus Anima Final Closed Beta starts Nov 25

The Honkai: Nexus Anima Final Closed Beta begins on November 25 on PC, Android and iOS. HoYoverse also confirmed that its open-world creature-catching RPG will officially launch in spring 2027, with sign-ups for the test open now.

HoYoverse made the announcement from Singapore on November 5. It says this last test will show more of the core gameplay and story than any before it, along with new characters, Anima, areas and features.

Here is what we know about the test:

Selected players will hear back through the eligibility checker, email, SMS and other channels. HoYoverse says the full test schedule will follow in later announcements.

What's new in this beta?

You play as an Animaster setting out from the town of Iia. The test adds new story chapters and new faces, some of them companions and some formidable rivals, each with their own background.

Iia itself opens up, from the halls of a traditional bank to a busy office high-rise and a breezy lighthouse island. You can rest in your own RV at any time and build habitats for your Anima as you explore.

Out in the world you may find Anima in Chromatic forms, and more juvenile Anima join the adventure so you can watch them grow from fledgling to formidable. New interactions, such as holding hands, hugging or being lifted into the air by an Anima, unlock over time.

How are the gacha and combat changing?

HoYoverse is also adjusting the Eidos Event Bond and Anima Event Bond:

• Your first 5-star Eidos or Anima is guaranteed to be the current limited one.
• Getting the current limited Eidos lets you claim its matching Anima Companion for free.
• The new Nexus Arena mode launches, with custom lineups, matchmaking and ranks to climb.
• The open world and challenge stages get tougher enemies.

Why does this test matter?

This is the last closed test before launch, so it should be the closest look yet at the finished game. With new regions, a new arena mode and reworked banners all in one build, player feedback here could shape what ships in spring. Running it on PC, Android and iOS at once also hints at how HoYoverse wants the game to be played across devices.

How do you sign up for the beta?

Fill in the recruitment questionnaire on the official website. Signing up does not guarantee access, since only a selection of applicants will get in, and nothing you earn will carry over to launch. HoYoverse posts updates through the @HonkaiNA accounts on YouTube, X, Instagram and Facebook.

Alongside the news, HoYoverse released a new teaser and a gameplay showcase for the test. The footage highlights Nexus Arena fights, town life and everyday moments with Anima, and it carries a work-in-progress label, so details may still change before launch.
