How is Battle Royale gameplay changing?
The update reaches beyond Verdansk and touches both big maps:
- New third-person animations on Verdansk and in DMZ
- Updated movement and airborne controls
- Parachutes you can deploy mid-match on Verdansk, replacing wingsuits
- Shoulder-bashing doors open by running through them
- Dragging downed teammates while reviving them
- In-game contracts for rewards and a refreshed UI
Scorestreaks in Battle Royale are now called Field Assets. You can equip them to Loadouts, but they are rarer and more powerful by design, with the Death Machine and EMP Systems among the new options. Wildcards become Perks in Battle Royale and can be picked up through Loadout Drops and Buy Stations.
Events and rewards
Operation: Verdansk Convergence asks you to side with Makarov, Task Force 141 or the Observers and work through story acts. Rewards include the Ghost - Desert Ghost Operator Skin, a DLQ33 blueprint and, at the end, the Legendary AK47 - Pharoah's Decree. Finish one faction and you can join another.
In the Store, Means to an End leads with the Mythic Alias - Shattered Effigy skin, and Botanist brings the Mythic Signal 50 - Exobotanica blueprint. A week after launch, a Ford Racing event offers more than 20 rewards for simple tasks like logging in and playing matches. DMZ: Recon also gets Verdansk, a Chemist boss and a Prison Highlight Contract where you start with no gear.
