Having little money or not wanting to spend a lot doesn't mean you won't enjoy the game. Opponents may sometimes show up with incredible Icons and make your mouth water, but with properly built players, and if you are a good FIFA player, there is no opponent you can't beat. In Ultimate Team, we looked at 11 players by position who won't cost you much and will be very useful for you.
FIFA 21 Ultimate Team Defenders
1. Max Aarons

Norwich City finished this season as champions and returned to the Premier League they missed. There is no doubt that Max Aarons was one of the key players in his team's title run. The young prospect, born in 2000, has already started to enter and be watched on the radars of big clubs. With lightning-quick pace that lets him play comfortably at right-back, or in the middle or on the right of a back three, plus physical and defending that can trouble opposing attackers, he takes the first spot on our list as a wide-ranging card.
2. Ricardo Santos
[caption id="attachment_10790" align="aligncenter" width="1450"]
PS Price: 25,000 coins Xbox Price: 25,250 coins[/caption]
If you have Ruben Dias and Cancelo from SBCs and are looking for someone cheap with Portugal chemistry alongside them, Ricardo Santos may be just the person you are looking for. The defender, who plays in EFL League Two, has the potential to cause opponents big trouble with his incredible physicality on top of his pace.
3. Yasser Al-Shahrani
[caption id="attachment_10791" align="aligncenter" width="1450"]
PS Price: 24,000 coins Xbox Price: 23,250 coins[/caption]
If you say my left centre-back and the midfielder in front of him are Icons, you can comfortably fill your left-back spot with Al Shahrani. He is a cheap and useful player who will contribute to your team with his attacking input, clean use of both feet and excessive pace. If you are thinking of him at centre-back, don't; I don't recommend it because of his short height!
FIFA 21 Ultimate Team Midfielders
4. Salem Al-Dawsari
[caption id="attachment_10792" align="aligncenter" width="1450"]
PS Price: 24,000 coins Xbox Price: 23,500 coins[/caption]
With a 4-star weak foot and 4-star skill moves, Al Dawsari is very useful with his attributes, even though he is hard to link. You can use this player, who can link perfectly with the Yasser Al-Shahrani I just shared for left-back, while trying out different squads, spending only 50,000 coins doing so, and after linking these two you can add other tasty options around them to raise chemistry and put your name among the standouts.
5. İlkay Gündoğan
[caption id="attachment_10793" align="aligncenter" width="1450"]
PS Price: 85,000 coins Xbox Price: 96,500 coins[/caption]
İlkay, who scored goals this season and had a big share in Man City's title, is among the cards I use most, including his Premier League Player of the Month cards. His Team of the Season card is about as good as it gets. With every attribute at a minimum of 80 and above, high work rate on attack and 4-star skill moves and weak foot, İlkay is also the kind of Premier League player who, with his incredible long shots, can be the key to matches that are hard to unlock, and he is only in the 90,000 coins range. Truly incredible!!!
All you need to do is apply Shadow and use him wherever you want in midfield, and the rest will come by itself...
6. Christopher Nkunku
[caption id="attachment_10794" align="aligncenter" width="1450"]
PS Price: 127,000 coins Xbox Price: 115.00 coins[/caption]
Although a bit more expensive than the other cards, we couldn't leave Nkunku off this list. By applying Hunter to him and raising his low shooting and adding to his pace, you can turn him into a player who is very hard to stop. My recommendation for Nkunku, whom you can also use as a central midfielder, is to play him as the second striker in two-striker tactics such as 4-4-2 and to run him in behind the defense.
7. Piotr Zieliński
[caption id="attachment_10795" align="aligncenter" width="1450"]
PS Price: 64,500 coins Xbox Price: 60,000 coins[/caption]
Zielinski, another name for versatility and elegance in every respect, defines the maestro with his 92 dribbling and 91 passing. Apply Hunter to Zielinski, who can use both feet equally, and feel that lovely pleasure of being your team's maestro.
8. Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld
[caption id="attachment_10796" align="aligncenter" width="1450"]
PS Price: 37,250 coins Xbox Price: 36,250 coins[/caption]
Groenevled, who stands out with his game as much as his name, has skill ratings and stats there is nothing to say against. Another reason he is on this list is that, with an incredible Memphis Depay card from the Team of the Season, adding a What If Leroy Fer card and Showdon Klaiber next to him, and a Flashback Robben card if you have one, a delicious Netherlands team awaits you.
FIFA 21 Ultimate Team Strikers
9. Odsonne Edouard
[caption id="attachment_10797" align="aligncenter" width="1450"]
PS Price: 45,000 coins Xbox Price: 46,500 coins[/caption]
It may be Rangers' year in Scotland, but that doesn't mean we won't sign a player from Celtic. Especially when the striker is as strong, in command of the ball and quick as Edouard...
Considering the French hegemony in the game, I recommend you don't miss this player, whom you can comfortably link into your forward line.
10. Bafétimbi Gomis
[caption id="attachment_10798" align="aligncenter" width="1450"]
PS Price: 51,500 coins Xbox Price: 55,000 coins[/caption]
I can hear Galatasaray fans letting out a deep "ahhh". Gomis, who left because he wasn't given 1 million euros more, so much money has been spent on replacing him, so many have come and gone, but nobody who can deliver even 5% of the impact he created and reflect that spirit on the pitch has ever come.
Back to FIFA: if you liked Edouard and are looking for a cheap partner beside him, Gomis may be just the man you are looking for. Gomis, who is in command of the ball and complete in attributes, only needs a pace boost.
11. Josip Iličić
[caption id="attachment_10799" align="aligncenter" width="1450"]
PS Price: 72,000 coins Xbox Price: 76,000 coins[/caption]
I like Ilicic a lot in real life, but he is rarely used in FIFA because of his pace and build, and this card may be an exception. Once you fix the pace problem (apply an attribute that raises it by at least 3 bars), his other attributes are at an incredible level. Ilicic, whose left-footedness will also catch your opponents off guard, is strongly recommended for your Serie A squads.
