FIFA 23 Career Mode Team Recommendations 2023

10) Lazio (Serie A)

Serie A is arguably one of the most interesting leagues right now, with six teams battling it out for the title. The league is extremely competitive and one of the hardest to start a Career in.

While taking one of the Milan clubs or Juventus might be tempting, players who want more of a challenge and more competition should try controlling a team like Lazio instead. The team has good players, and with the right mix of tactics and player development, you can absolutely lift a trophy.

9) Marseille (Ligue 1)

Most people would pick PSG if they wanted to build a career in Ligue 1. But playing with this team is so easy that players might want to get out of that mindset and make things a bit more fun, turning their sights toward their fiercest rivals instead.

Controlling a team like Marseille is much more interesting. The squad definitely has plenty of talented players, and with a few transfer moves and a bit of magic, you can give Marseille seasons where they go head-to-head for the title instead of living in PSG's shadow!

Sounds interesting...

8) Leicester City (Premier League)

Leicester City is remembered as a team everyone loves to root for, one that gets to live out a fairy tale. From their historic Premier League title to today, they continue to make headlines and turn heads in football.

The team under Brendan Rodgers has struggled quite a bit this season. Players who want to lead their comeback can absolutely take the reins, but there's no doubt this job will be tougher than expected, though just as competitive!

7) Bayer Leverkusen (Bundesliga)

When people think of the Bundesliga, the two teams that come to mind for most fans are Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund. Even though the former has all but monopolized the league, there's no reason players can't dethrone them with one of the many competitive squads in the Bundesliga.

Despite having an impressive roster, Bayer Leverkusen have failed to meet expectations both domestically and in international competitions, and that could change in the hands of FIFA 23 Career Mode players. With the team having plenty of young, high-potential players, you'll play a big role in dominating the Bundesliga in the years to come.

6) Sevilla (La Liga)

If you're looking for a La Liga team that has seriously lost its way, the answer is Sevilla.

To turn this squad into one worthy of competing for the title, it will need a tough, determined manager steering the ship. If you see that kind of determination in yourself, don't hesitate for a second, and dedicate yourself to taking Sevilla where they deserve to be!

5) Leeds United (Premier League)

Leeds United will be one of the hardest teams to manage for players in the Premier League. The team has tons of talent, but FIFA 23 is generally a game built around the results you get... and as a result, Leeds United aren't doing so well.

The early stage of controlling this team can be frustrating, but Career Mode players shouldn't worry too much. If you give this team's youngsters enough time, patience, and skill development, you can take Leeds United back to their 1990s glory days.

4) Schalke 04 (Bundesliga)

Another team with an impressive history but unable to show the same success in modern times is Schalke 04. Outside of the widely publicized Revierderby in Germany, Schalke 04 doesn't draw much attention.

All of that can turn around in Career Mode, thanks to you. Players will definitely start with a semi-decent squad that needs a bit of investment. With a good transfer strategy and the right tactical approach, making Schalke 04 one of the most competitive teams in the league is no easy task, but far from impossible.

3) Roma (Serie A)

Jose Mourinho's Roma is one of Serie A's most interesting teams. The squad has plenty of well-known names that players will enjoy controlling in FIFA 23.

In fact, this team genuinely has a shot at winning Serie A, and players can push that idea even further by controlling them in Career Mode. Given how competitive Serie A is, it can be a tough task, but if Career Mode players, meaning you, invest properly in the squad, Roma can absolutely become a favorite to win the league.

2) Monaco (Ligue 1)

Most people don't even realize Monaco won Ligue 1 in the 2016-17 season. After all, the team hasn't reached that same form and level since, especially after PSG signed Kylian Mbappe and then went on to sell or lose many of the stars you see in that photo.

That said, as long as players are willing to fight against PSG's dominance in Ligue 1, Monaco is still a very exciting team to control. Trust me, a Career Mode with Monaco will always be enjoyable!

1) Valencia (La Liga)

The Bats are one of the most well-known teams in La Liga, always drawing attention for unfairly losing academy players, and constantly producing impressive young talents. No matter what, Valencia is the best team you can pick for Career Mode players who love playing with youngsters.

Valencia is also the best team to pick in Career Mode for players who want to break up the Barcelona and Real Madrid duopoly in La Liga. Because no other team in La Liga has a future this bright, one that will be able to challenge them in the years ahead! It's definitely going to be a tough job, good luck in advance...
