Is FIFA 2K25 Coming to Rival EA FC?

Is FIFA 2K25 Coming Out? When Will It Release?

FC 24 is nearly halfway through its lifespan since release. However, there has recently been talk of a FIFA game that could rival EA FC.

FIFA hasn't made any statement since President Gianni Infantino confirmed plans to rival EA with a new game, and although it's still early, details about FIFA 2K25, which could become EA FC's new rival, have started to surface.

Is FIFA 2K25 Coming Out?

FIFA 23 marked the end of the 30-year partnership with Electronic Arts that launched the EA SPORTS FC series. The game is now known as FC 24. Now all eyes are on FIFA's next move, and many believe the game could be revived.

Rumors have surfaced that FIFA and 2K are working to announce a partnership that would let 2K make an officially licensed FIFA game.

2K has made many sports games over the years; games like NBA and PGA Tour in particular have found huge success in the gaming community. For that reason, FIFA could be revived.

Has FIFA Made a Statement?

Speaking at the FIFA congress held in March last year, Gianni Infantino had this to say on the subject:

"The new FIFA game - FIFA 25, 26, 27, and beyond, will always be the best e-game for girls or boys. We will have news about this very soon."

Infantino's comments set expectations very high and had FIFA fans asking "is a new game really coming?"

Waiting a little longer to see what happens with this game seems like the most sensible thing to do.

When Will FIFA 2K25 Release?

In light of this information, we can guess that a new FIFA game is in the works. However, it's hard to know for now when this new game will arrive, because very little has come out about its development. If the predictions about the game are correct, we could see FIFA 2K25 as a direct rival to FC 25 later this year. But let's be clear that no official decision has been announced yet. Even though a new FIFA game has dropped like a bombshell, we'll need to wait for confirmed official announcements to get a full picture of the game...
