FM22 Update 22.3.0.0: Full Patch Notes

Football Manager 2022 launched with us quite smoothly and successfully. But that doesn't mean there was nothing left to fix in the game. From the Croatian 2. Liga to gameplay updates, here are the FM 22 updates Sports Interactive has made!

FM 22 Stability and Technical Updates

Stability and crash-related fixes

– Optimization improvements

– Fixed the game launching on Macs without the correct zoom screen settings

– Fixed the Sound 'Test' button in Preferences

FM 22 22.3.0.0 Match Engine Updates

– Reduced the effectiveness of near-post corner kick attacks

– Various fixes in different areas related to defending teams having overly strong possession and pushing possession stats to unrealistic levels

– Fixed goalkeepers not being marked during attacking set pieces

– Fine-tuning for throw-ins

– A number of other improvements to overall engine balance

Football Manager 2022 Gameplay Updates

– Fine-tuning for young player development rate

– Fine-tuning for older player regression rate

– Fine-tuning for next-gen squad generation at game start

– Improved distribution of next-gen players across inactive nations

– Player information now stays visible longer after a trial period ends

– Logic work to stop players complaining about insufficient playing time despite starting in the first XI in almost every match

– Added transfer deadline day experience to the Norwegian and Danish top divisions

– Improvements to loan requests and negotiations

– Improved logic distribution for AI managers' preferred formations

– More realistic job security pressure for newly appointed national team managers

– Fixed the coaching staff's illogical concerns about a newly signed player's playing time

– Fixed a news item where a player, despite not joining a bigger club, stated they wanted to join the club because it was bigger

– Fixed a positive reaction from an interaction being displayed incorrectly

FM 2022 Competitions and Rule Sets Updates

– Fixed the number of Croatian 2. Liga matches from 2022/23 onward

– Fixed Turkish newgens not appearing as HG (home-grown) for registration

– Fixed a bug where using Auto Select in China counted as a new registration change

– Added Canadian team qualifiers for the NACL from 2024+

– Added Canadian team qualifiers for the NAL

– MLS DP and YDP rules assigned correctly

– A number of other fixes, rule updates, and schedule changes made for numerous countries/leagues

FM 22 Visual and Animation Updates

– Fixed numerous issues with players sliding/teleporting during animations in the 3D Match Engine

– Fixed player names not always displaying in the 2D Match Engine

– Fixed numerous kit clipping issues

– Numerous 3D background environment fixes, including team meeting rooms and kits/badges

– Improvements to hairstyle and eyebrow selection for next-gen players

Football Manager 2022 Bug Fixes

– Fixed action buttons in Scouting Meeting Inbox items overlapping or being cut off at certain resolutions

– Fixed the highlighted item jumping back to the top of the list when scrolling the Player Search list with the arrow keys.

– Fixed player kits not displaying in substitute bench notifications related to player changes

– Fixed player transfer values being hard to read on some screens

– Fixed analysis pop-ups in the Data Hub closing unexpectedly while certain items were highlighted

– Fixed the instruction marker covering the player's position in the Set Piece creator

– Fixed Realistic Loan checkboxes in Staff Search occasionally not working

– Fixed a custom column containing a player's transfer value becoming unreadable when resized.

– Fixed the individual training panel jumping back to the top of the list after selecting a player

– Fixed team statistics displayed on the touchline tablet resetting between matches

– Added a counter showing remaining entries in the scouting update

– Fixed errors with how numerical units are displayed in Korean currency

– Fixed icons on the opposing team's kit not displaying consistently after a player change

– Added a scroll bar to the Club Info > Profile section

– Replaced the "worth £0" shown on a Loan Player Match Report with a Monthly Wage figure
