Goose Goose Duck Roles 2023

There's a wide range of roles for Goose Goose Duck in the game. Some are neutral, meaning you're neither a Duck nor a Goose in the game.

Dodo

Win by getting voted out.

Dodo is a neutral role that only requires you to get voted out, and you win! Try to act as suspicious as possible and get other players to focus on kicking you out for an easy victory.

Vulture

Eat corpses to win.

Vulture is a neutral role that requires you to eat three corpses to win the game. You actually can't kill anyone on your own. But if you come across a corpse, you can use the eat button to consume it. The three corpses consumed can happen throughout the game.

Pigeon

Infect everyone before a meeting to win the game.

Pigeon is a neutral role that has you trying to infect the other players on the map. If you can infect every single player before a meeting is called, you automatically win the game. To infect other players, all you need to do is get close to them and press the infect button. You can't visually tell whether you have infected a player, but you'll know they're infected if you can't press the infect button on them again. Pigeons can use vents to get around.

Falcon

Win by being the last one alive. While you're alive, Geese can only win through tasks, and Ducks can only win through sabotages. Always skips voting.

Falcon is a neutral role that requires you to be the last one standing at the end of the game. However, the odds are in your favor, since Geese can only win by completing all required tasks. Ducks can only win through sabotage. The only downside to the role is that you always skip voting.

Gravy

Complete tasks to increase your reward. Survive to prevent your killer from stealing your winnings.

Gravy is a Goose role that requires you to complete tasks that will increase your reward. If you can make it to the end, you'll win the money you have accumulated by completing tasks. However, if you're killed, the killer will steal everything you have earned during the game!

Mechanic

You can use vents.

Mechanic is a Goose role that lets you use vents just like a Duck! This can obviously be risky, since players might see you using the vents and assume you're a Duck.

Snoop

You can hide in secluded corners.

Snoop is a Goose role that lets you hide in certain areas of each map. Things like cabinets and other small rooms with doors on them. You'll know you can hide somewhere in the game when the hide option lights up.

Vigilante

You can kill a player with no consequences.

Vigilante is a Goose role that lets you kill someone without facing any consequences. This means you won't get ejected from the game even if you get voted out because of the kill call you made. Basically, it's a free kill you can use for fun on a friend or someone who's bothering you! You'll need to wait 20 seconds at the start of the game or a meeting before you can do this.

Technician

You can detect the approximate location of sabotages on the minimap.

Technicians are a Goose role that shows you where a sabotage is about to happen on the minimap and the full map.

Birdwatcher

You have limited vision, but you can see beyond walls.

Birdwatcher is a Goose role that gives you the ability to climb onto walls and see the other side. If you're already playing a limited-vision game, then this is entirely a benefit and not a downside.

Medium

You can detect the number of ghosts.

Medium is a Goose role that lets you activate your power to see how many ghosts are currently in the game. You'll need to wait 20 seconds at the start of the game and after each round ends to use the ability.

Canadian

Your automatic kill notification triggers a short while later.

Canadian is a Goose role that will punish any poor soul who decides to kill you, since your death will be automatically reported a short time later.

Sheriff

You can kill anyone, but killing a Goose has fatal consequences.

Sheriff is a Goose role that lets you assassinate the ducks you believe exist in your game. However, if you're wrong, you'll be killed too. You'll need to be very sure your target is a duck!

Mimic

Ducks will see you as another Duck. (No Blind Ducks, Friendly Fire On)

Mimic is a Goose role that shows you to the other ducks in the game as a duck. You don't need to do anything special for this — it'll show you as a duck automatically, and hopefully protect you from them!

Detective

Once per game, you can investigate a player to see if they have killed yet.

Detective is a Goose role that lets you approach a player and investigate them. It'll tell you whether they have killed another player. This doesn't necessarily mean they're a duck, but it can definitely make you suspicious of them!

Bodyguard

Protect a specific player until the end of the game to earn a bonus.

Bodyguard is a Goose role that requires you to protect a player, in order to get a bonus if you and they both survive until the end of the game. You'll be told the name of the player you need to protect when you start the game.

Cannibal

You can eat one corpse per game.

Cannibal is a Duck role that lets you eat a single corpse. This lets you clean up evidence of one of your kills and prevent someone from calling a meeting. You'll have to use it strategically, since you'll only get to use it once per game!

Silencer

You can mute a player each round during meetings.

Silencer is a Duck role that lets you silence one of the annoying players. If someone witnessed you killing someone, it might be a good idea to mute them for the round and get rid of them afterward. You'll need to be careful about this, though, since you could give yourself away if you're the only one who isn't muted!

Spy

If you're the only one who votes for a player during a meeting, you learn their role.

Spy is a Duck role that gives you the chance to learn another player's role if you're the only one who voted for them. It's a useful role for gathering information, but you need to make sure you vote for people who aren't likely to get other votes!

Assassin

Twice per game, correctly guess a role during meetings to kill, or die trying.

Assassin is a Duck role that lets you kill someone if you can guess their role. You'll have an assassinate button that appears on the side of the screen while voting. You can click on it and select the player whose role you think you know, and a menu will open up with all the possible roles. If you pick the wrong one, you'll be doomed!

Professional

Geese can't see your victims and will be notified automatically if they get close. You can't report corpses.

Professional is a Duck role that lets you be sneaky with your kills. You'll want to try to kill people in an odd location, not in areas other players will frequently pass through.

Hitman

Kill a specific player to earn a bonus.

Hitman is a Duck role that will give you a target to kill at the start of the game. If you forget who it is, there will be a target icon next to their name to remind you if you get close to them. If you successfully take down your target, you'll get more silver at the end of the game!

Lover

You share a life-or-death bond with another player. You can win normally, but if you're the last one alive, you and your lover can win too.

Lover is a Duck or Goose role that picks another player you're bonded to in a sense. You don't have to win alongside them, but keeping them around benefits you, since you can win faster if they survive to the end. Your lover's name will be bright pink, so you'll know who they are!

Morphling

You can mimic other players.

Morphling is a Duck role that lets you use a needle to take a player's essence, then use it to switch to their likeness. This takes 30 seconds before you'll need to take more DNA from another player to shapeshift again!
