What Should You Know Before Deleting a BeReal Post?

Before deleting a BeReal post, know that you have only one chance to delete and retake, that a deleted post is also removed from Memories and that you must post again before seeing public posts in Discovery. Although deleting a BeReal post is quite a simple process, there are a few things you should know before deleting posts:

• There are limits on how many times you can delete a BeReal post. Based on what we saw on the Android version of the app, you have only one chance to delete a BeReal post and retake the photo.
• You can still delete the retake, but you won't be allowed to post another BeReal until you receive the next daily post prompt push notification.
• Deleting a BeReal post doesn't only delete it from the feed. It will also be removed from your Memories section.
• If you delete your BeReal post, you need to post another one first so that you can view public posts in Discovery.

How Do You Delete a BeReal Post? (2023)

To delete a BeReal post, open it, select the three-dots icon, choose Delete my BeReal, pick a reason, then confirm with Yes, I'm sure and Delete. Although there are small differences between Android and iOS when it comes to deleting BeReal posts, the instructions below should work for both, since we point out the differences between the two platforms in the steps below.

• Open the BeReal you want to delete, then select the three-dots icon in the top right corner of your screen.

(For iOS users: You will also select the three-dots icon, but it should be found below your BeReal.)

• From the menu that appears, select Delete my BeReal.

(For iOS: Select Options > Delete my BeReal.)

• For both Android and iOS: You will come to a screen where you need to choose a reason why you are deleting your BeReal post. Then you will select Yes, I'm sure.

Then you will select Delete to complete the process.
