How to Download Videos From Instagram in 2022

Downloading Your Own Reels

• Open the Instagram app and tap the profile icon in the bottom right.
• Tap the Reels icon or select View Archive. You'll see all the Reels you've posted.
• Open the Reel you want to save.
• Tap the three-dot menu on the right side of the screen.
• In the pop-up menu, tap Save to Camera Roll or Save Video.

Taking a Screen Recording

• Swipe down from the top of your screen to open the Control Center, then launch the Screen Recorder.
• On iPhone, the app will start recording automatically after a short countdown, but on Android you need to swipe right to enable audio recording, then tap Start.
• While the Screen Recorder is counting down before it starts, launch the Instagram app and open the Reel you want to save, making sure to let the Reel play all the way through.
• Swipe down from the top and stop the recording.
• Open the recording and tap edit.
• Use the timeline control at the bottom of the screen to trim out any parts of the video you don't want.
• Once you're done editing, save your finished video.

Using a Third-Party App

If you'd rather simplify the process, there are also third-party apps available for saving Instagram videos. However, these apps can put your security at risk and aren't official, so you should be careful. You can paste the link to the video you've chosen into the app you're using to download it. To do this, just find the Reel you want, tap the three-dot menu in the top right, and tap Copy Link.
