The MSI Clash tournament was canceled last year because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but it returns in 2021 in a longer form. The tournament will be held in Reykjavik, Iceland, among the 11 best teams from around the world. To celebrate the return of MSI, Riot Games will give players who perform well in Clash a random permanent Conqueror skin or skin shard.
Riot Games must be making up for last year's pain, as it is turning Clash from a single weekend into a tournament that will last a full two weekends. The first weekend will be played on May 8-9, and the second part of the tournament will take place on May 29-30.
How Do You Sign Up for the Clash Tournament?
Players can form their five-person teams starting May 3 and May 24, respectively. During these two events, players can check the Clash tab in the League of Legends client for the tournament.
To take part in the tournament:
- You need to complete your Ranked matches,
- You need to have at least Honor Level 2,
- and you need to be on a team of 5!
What Are the MSI Clash Tournament Rewards?
- To celebrate the event, the premium ticket rewards will give extra premium rewards for this tournament. In addition to your standard Capsule rewards, you will also get Conqueror loot:
- To celebrate previous years of MSI, Riot Games created Conqueror skins for Varus, Alistar, Karma and Nautilus. The skins can be purchased through the League of Legends client, but this year players will be able to get them for free depending on their Clash performance.
