When Is League of Legends' New Champion Coming?

As you know, Riot Games introduced four new champions for League of Legends this year: Viego, Gwen, Akshan and Vex.

Viego (The Ruined King)

Viego, also known as the Ruined King, has abilities including his passive Sovereign’s Domination, Blade of the Ruined King (Q), Spectral Maw (W), Harrowed Path (E) and Heartbreaker (R). Once the king of a forgotten land, Viego creates a disaster called the Ruination while trying to revive his dead wife, and over time turns into an obsessive wraith.

Gwen

Gwen, also known as the Hallowed Seamstress, has abilities including her passive Thousand Cuts, Snip Snip! (Q), Hallowed Mist (W), Skip ’n Slash (E) and Needlework (R). Once a toy doll brought to life by magic, Gwen now uses the tools she was made with as weapons.

Akshan

Akshan, also known as the Rogue Sentinel, has abilities including his passive Dirty Fighting, Avengerang (Q), Going Rogue (W), Heroic Swing (E) and Comeuppance (R). A champion who stands against danger, he takes revenge on all manner of evil.

Vex

Vex, also known as the Gloomist, has abilities including her passive Doom ’n Gloom, Mistral Bolt (Q), Personal Space (W), Looming Darkness (E) and Shadow Surge (R). A champion alone in the dark weather of the Shadow Isles, she has a permanent scowl and a powerful shadow.

When Is League of Legends' New Champion Coming? 2022

Now that we've briefly covered League of Legends' previous champions, let's move on to the information about the new champion. While Riot Games has said new champions will launch early next year, it's currently focused on visually updating older champions. Champions like Alistar, who hasn't received a visual update since 2015, are said to be getting a new look in 2022.
